Thank you both for your suggestions. My mind is telling me to do the NNAS as soon as possible so I'm going to that first. I'm still currently working as a nurse and won't resign until I have my Visa on hand. I know it will be a hard & long process to be able to work as a RN in a different country, I was just hoping to smoothen the transition a bit.
Hi. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines with 2 years tertiary hospital experience and 2 years (to date) working as a company nurse. I have applied to immigrate to Canada (Manitoba) and have received my letter of approval. I have read online about the procedures for which I can obtain the same status (RN) when I come to Canada. For nurses who have experienced the same dilemma---registering to NNAS, etc.. do you suggest I do it while still here in the Philippines? And do you suggest I take the NCLEX before I come to Canada? Do you have any tips what I should do to make the transition easy? Thank you!
