Hi I hope someone can help. My father has advanced metastatic lung cancer with secondary tumours to the neck. He has been deteriorating rapidly over the past week and was admitted to hospital on Friday very confused, weak, barely concious. It was discovered he has hypercalcemia. After meds through an iv his condition has improved dramtically and he is speaking sense for the first time in days. I wondered if anyone can advise if this is likely to reoccur? and I know this only usually happens in very advanced cancer, does this mean that he only has days/weeks/months? His levels were 3.6 which i understand is pretty high, they have reduced to 3 but they still feel this is too high and wont discharge him to go home. I hope anyone can offer any advise. Yours gratefully Fiona
  2. Hi I wonder if anyone can help. My dad has terminal throat and lung cancer. He is deteriorating rapidly and starting to suffer. He is keen to stay at home. What are the signs things are coming to an end? He is very tottery on his feet and not able to walk through the house without sitting down. he is also very confused and his voice is quite weak. His skin look quite grey too. Any help greatly appreciated. Love FI x
