Hey bain01, I'm also planning on applying to a RPN program Sept 2015 but I'm alittle stumped on the application process, did you need the additional requirements such as a mask fitting test to apply to the program?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm really interested in the field of nursing & I'm thinking of applying to a college program for practical nursing! I currently volunteer at a hospital feeding patients and other things for about 1 year now. I was wondering what is the process of applying to the colleges in Ontario for the Practical Nursing programs? Also, I also see that there are other additional requirements such as a mask fitting test, ASIST Workshop and a valid standard first aid & cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)? Am I suppose to have these additional requirements in order to apply to the program or do I have to achieve them while studying in the program? Looking forward to your insights & feedback, Thanks
