  1. Just women's and infant services. All units are grouped into that category
  2. I received the offer and verbally accepted it. Then the recruiter sent out some paperwork to fill out and the dosage calculation test about 2 weeks after i verbally accepted. I did all of that. Then about 2 weeks after I took the test and turned the paperwork in, I received the official offer that I had to go online in the portal to accept.
  3. I took it after I was extended a job offer.
  4. I sent in my renewed CPR card and have had my health visit too last week so I hope I get my contract soon too! I am so excited to start, I only have a little over 2 weeks until I start in beginning of February. And I take my NCLEX next friday on the 26! So I am a ball of nerves and excited all at once trying to make sure I pass!
  5. Ok cool, thanks. I have my appointment next tuesday!
  6. I have no idea, it may be different for each floor. But for L&D they provide our scrubs for us
  7. @Shelby_M_P CONGRATS! I knew you would get it and hopefully well see each other at orientation. Do you start Feb 5th?
  8. they pay about the same as anywhere else, they pay a couple cents lower than $25 starting out. Most other places like baylor, THR, medical city start you at $25 too. But once you finish the residency part of the job at parkland which for L&D is about 6 months you go up to $27 and some change for base pay plus differentials
  9. @glowbug,BSN, RN Congratulations! That is amazing, I am glad you got what you wanted too!
  10. Congratulations!!! That is awesome, and it is the unit where you want to be! I was going to go to that fair until I got the position at parkland!
  11. I would just call phyllis (the recruiter for parkland L&D) and ask if they are still interviewing. I gave her info to some people on here, so idk if they contacted her and what she said. but if you want her info i can give it to you?
  12. Dont go in nervous, go in with confidence. When you answer the questions answer them confidently because even if it is wrong they are looking for confidence and that you are trying and teachable. They know you dont know everything, but they want to know can they teach you! Basically they are looking for your attitude. You wouldn't have gotten the interview if you werent a competitive candidate. If parkland is what you want tell them that and express that you want to stay and work there too. They are looking for people who are dedicated because a lot of people go to parkland for the money and dont realize the work you are going to do. You will get the job! Tell them you came from out of town to do in person because you are serious about this! You will get the job!
  13. Baylor Fort worth also has a opening for L&D GNs. They posted it on their facebook page today, which is BSWH Graduate Nurses. They said to email them at [email protected] if interested. They said also that it is prefered BSN and GPA of 3.0 or higher, but open to everyone. Just thought I would share, cant hurt to try!
