New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad
I feel like they're awaiting to see interviews at Cornell to look at all the candidates from both interviews and then determine where to put everyone. Or if you stood out a lot then you got a call right away?

New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad
Also, I'm sure you all have been through past New Grad NYP threads (I've probably looked at all of them a few months ago) and I can't remember many posts about after the interviews. If anyone knows something helpful or knows someone who has been through the whole process and was hired/rejected, share some insight!

The questions were not difficult. Know your standard interview questions/prepare those answers. There were some situational/behavioral questions like "tell me about a time when..." or "if this happened, what would you do?" If you've prepared for a normal nursing interview you should be fine. It took about a week after the interview to receive the mail about whether or not we were "top new grads"

New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad
Mine only says future consideration for "Staff Nurse" and "2015 New Graduate Nurse Career Event - Drop Off Your Application Here". But I tried to type in my job ID and it lead me to exactly the specialty I was hoping to get (albeit an expired page from May '15) so its possibly for that certain position?

New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad
For the interview I was led to believe I was interviewing for the specific floor because they mentioned what specialty each of the nurse managers I was meeting was in (i.e. Cardiology Tele @ Columbia) but it turned out to just be a general interview for the whole system. But you do get to mention where you would like to be. I said Cardiology/Critical Care/anything. I don't exactly understand the point of sending the e-mail unless it meant they further cut down the 150 people and to just let certain people know they are still being considered? If I hear of anything else I'll let you all know! And kdacayo, the interviews I had (idk if it will be the same) were held in a room of approximately 20 small square tables and a nurse manager sitting in each one. I met with two nurse managers, each for 20 minutes, moving from one table to another, and then left. The recruiters were friendly in the waiting room and helped us relax a little bit. Good luck!

Congrats everyone! My interview is june 9th for Oncology and Cardiac at Columbia! I believe that is where I would be placed if I got hired? The email I got sounded reassuring about the interview. I wonder how many people got one.
