  1. Hello everyone, So I have kind of been confused on the path I have wanted to take to get in to nursing school. I have had an interview at nova for a whole now and have changed the dates a few times because I was not sure I wanted to go there. My problem is the price of the school. I know someone who did not get the baptist scholarship and he explained to me that no matter what they tell you, your loans will be between 60-70K. I was looking in to FIU and since I had to retake my chem lab they won't accept me unless I finish my bachelors in something else first and then apply to their accelerated nursing program. So it would take me between 1.5 to 2 years to finish my bachelors in psychology which I have already been accepted to FIU for and then 1 year for the accelerated nursing program. at nova I would take 27 months to finish the BSN but have a lot more loans for school. I am just so lost right now any advice would help if anyone has some experience with this. I also accepted the interview at nova this time for September 15th. Good luck to you all on your interviews and if you already interviewed, I hope you get accepted.
  2. Hello everyone, I had an interview for July 16 but rescheduled it due to not feeling to confident for the exam. I will now be interviewing on July 30. Also, thanks so much Yudi for giving all that info to help prepare for the interview. I know someone who interviewed to start in August and they had around the same questions as well. I wish everyone luck on this adventure and I hope we all get in. Is anyone else interviewing on July 30th? Also, my gpa is a 3.5 right now and will go higher after summer because I am currently taking 10 credits and have all A's in those classes.
  3. Congrats to everyone that has been accepted already. I was called and I have my interview on May 21st. Can anyone help me and share your interview experience like any info on the test and the interview questions asked and the essay you had to write. Any info would help.
  4. Congrats, I currently have courses in progress but will also be taking my last classes during the summer so I cant send transcripts showing those classes in progress until they start may 11, the website says deadline for application is june 1, so I hope there is still space for august.
  5. Do you mind sharing some info like gpa and how the interview process was? All the info will be appreciated and congratulations by the way.
  6. Sorry for the late reply. I did an appeal with mdc for the F I received in mac1105 and yesterday I just got a letter in the mail saying it was approved so It got erased off of my transcripts and my gpa is back up to a 3.6 now. I am missing stats, micro, and mac1105 which I just signed up for the summer and am sending my new transcripts over to nova so they can see my final classes in progress and hopefully give me an interview. Congrats to all of those who have already been accepted and good luck to those still waiting to be accepted.
  7. Hello, I am currently attending MDC for my nursing pre-reqs which I will be done with this summer 2015. I am going to be submitting my transcripts now in February and applying for Nova for fall 2015. Does anyone have any info on if they will let you apply before actually finishing the pre-reqs? My GPA dropped from a 3.8 to around a 3.2 last semester because I failed college algebra and got a c in another class. I will be retaking college algebra again during summer to replace the grade. I have all A's in my science classes just messed around in the other classes and didn't do to well. Hopefully I.can bring it up to a 3.4-3.5 by the summer. Does anyone have any info on if I will will still be considered with the 3.2 I have for now? Does anyone know anyone that has gotten in with this GPA? Any info would help and good luck to everyone applying.
