I am waiting to hear back within the two weeks on whether I was accepted or not. Could you give me some feedback on how the process has been so far? I am also doing psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. The program I am doing is an MSN program so I know that does hurt my chances. Are you going to COT after you graduate or sometime during your program?

I took three classes previously as a non degree seeking student under the old curriculum. Once accepted I had to request to have those credits applied. I did get it approved and it took off 3 courses as part of the program. Unfortunately, it did not affect my graduation date and I originally had a semester off and one semester where I only had one class. Now I am currently taking three DNP classes along with my MSN program so those gaps were filled.

They changed my advisor in blazernet and I received my official letter today in the mail. (I live here in Birmingham) Ill be at the orientation in March :)

what program did you apply too? and do you have four holds as well?

I tried calling to inquire about the holds but they could not confirm or deny anything. She said the letters would be sent out soon. There is still no change in my blazernet status. I think its still too early....

Hello everyone I checked blazernet and there is no change in my status but I did notice I had four holds on my account and next to the holds it says to contact the school of nursing. I hope this is a good sign and will contact them tomorrow for clarification. I will keep you updated

Did they gave you any more details? Does the admission committee weed some applications out initially before it goes to the specialty areas?

Hello Everyone! I applied to UAB for the summer for their PMHNP program. I previously applied about two years ago to their informatics program and did not get in. Since then I have raised my GPA for my last 60 hours of undergraduate work in hopes of being admitted this time around. I also submitted a better essay and have grown an interest in psychiatric nursing. I graduated from UAB so I am able to log into blazernet but I see no changes as of yet. My plan is to work full time at UAB and get accepted into their program so they will pay for my full tuition. I have an interview Wednesday. I pretty confident about the interview not so much being admitted. If I do not get into their graduate program I will not accept their job. I am going to apply to USA and try to get the VA Hospital (my current job) to pay for it. Anyways...good luck to everyone!
