  1. Thank you both! I guess I will have to find a school that continues school during the summer. :)
  2. Hey ya'll! Quick question...I am a soon to be Army Veteran, and have a question about nursing school. Once you get accepted into a Nursing school, is school two full years? Or do you take breaks during the summer? I am using my Post 9/11 to go to school, the VA pays the school for my tuition, and pays me around $2,000 a month to go to school and finish my degree, but they won't pay me during the summer if there is no school during summer break.
  3. Math and Nutrition were easy...I am just nervous about taking A&P.
  4. Wow, this is a trip! What you just wrote is exactly what is going on with me. I am still in the Army as a SGT, in the Medboard process right now. I want to be a CRNA in a future, but I decided to get my Associates as a Nurse first, then do my BSN afterwards. I got kinda freaked out, I thought someone had stolen my story. xD Hahaha...
  5. Hi everyone! I am currently almost getting out of the Army and I have been trying to knock out Pre-Reqs. I want to either go to Nursing School in Kansas City, KS or Kansas City, MO. What classes do you think I should CLEP? Like I stated before, I am in the Army and I can do CLEP classes for free. Thank you. :) I got the study guide for Humanities from Amazon, and plan on taking that test on March 31st. I also bought a huge book for English...I really want to CLEP that as well.
  6. Thank you! I had no idea about the CLEP. You made my day...thanks! :)
  7. I am a 92Y, and I can't stay in, I am getting Med-boarded. LPN is not an option, I might as well suck it up and wait to be a RN. Thank you. :)
  8. Yes, thank you. Starting January I will be taking 12 units, on top of being an NCO that runs a big part of my company for my commander, they always need me...during work and after. I know I can do it though. I just wish I was able to take most of those courses online, a lot of them require me to be in a class setting which I can't do, since I am also a single mom.
  9. It's just crazy seeing some of these Pre-Reqs that I need to have before I even start there. I hate not being able to get them done here in California, I want to have them done before I move to Missouri. Tomorrow I will call and ask them to let me talk to someone that deals with Veterans. :) I am trying to find some sort of brochure from that college that gives me information about the nursing program, but no luck.
  10. Hello Run! Thanks for your fast reply. :) Was it hard to get into a University? I plan to go to UMKC, and using my Post 9/11 to get paid to go to school. I know some of the courses that University requires are not offered in my Community College. I am so lost as to what I should do... :/
  11. Hello all! I am new to this forum, I joined because I have a bunch of questions I wanted to ask. I am currently in the US Army, and I am starting my education to help me become an RN. I am attending a Community College that is on post, and I am starting General Ed. Is General Education (Math, English) a year, and then the second year all nursing classes? My plan is to get my B.S.N. I am currently stationed in California, but plan to finish nursing school in Kansas City, MO. :) Any information will be GREATLY appreciated! Have a nice day folks... :)
