  1. Hi there, Any Filipino nurse out there currently working as a nurse assistant in Finland? Well, one of my closest friends have asked me if I'd like to try working as a nurse assistant in Finland. She told me that I will be paid 1000+ euros every month if I do work there on one of their nursing homes. I was just concerned and would want to know more as I'm currently unemployed (though I am working as a freelance writer right now). From my readings, I learned that Finland imposes high tax and that the standard of living is fairly high. Moreover, Finnish is a very difficult language to learn (I'm not quite sure though if I will be able to learn this language after taking the language course prescribed by a manpower agency here - about 3 to 4 mos. I guess). I thought of working in Finland and earn some money before going to Canada (I have several relatives in there (first degree cousin [PR], aunt & uncle) - they could help with my living expenses [e.g. food, place to stay] until I am able to stand on my own). My only problem is the proof of funds needed so I was thinking of going to Finland first and hopefully earn and save money. I am just a bit apprehensive of applying particularly that I have not read much Filipinos posting their nursing assistant experience in Finland. Well, I hope you'd answer this one. I am just a bit of a worry wart. I just prefer learning more about some things before coming up with a decision. I'm an RN here in the Philippines and have had 6 mos. of experience in working on a secondary hospital. I've been exposed to almost all departments including OR, DR, Pedia, NICU, ICU, Medical, and Surg. Thank you so much in advance!
