  1. Orientation is May 15th and we start classes on the 18th.
  2. Someone already went ahead and made a closed fb group after I noticed it was just a friend page at first. I would link it to you but I'm on my phone! Try searching again and click show all results.
  3. I called this afternoon and orientation is definitely May 15th, so I guess I might miss my reunion Oh well, school is more important! Also, thanks for adding me to the facebook group! I'm also a part of the spring 2015 fb group, because I was originally going to apply last spring but decided to wait. Good thing is, they constantly post up a bunch of helpful tips and documents that I can pass on to us!
  4. Where did you find out about orientation? I might not be here that weekend, it's my college's first year reunion :/ is it mandatory?
  5. I found out on canelink. I got an email this morning! Thanks everyone :)
  6. I GOT IN I GOT IN I GOT IN!!!!!! Yay!!!! Can't wait to meet you all!! also, you definitely need a car in Miami, lol.
  7. Thanks for letting me know @risser! I also live in Miami, so I'm guessing I'll find out next week!
  8. @risser, do you know how long it took them to mail the letter after they made their decision? I'm guessing another week?
  9. I called today and they told me that a decison was made on my application this Friday, so I just have to wait now for either a letter or an e-mail. I thought they already told me a decision was made though, and that I would find out by the end of last week, but I guess not :/ Hopefully I hear back soon... Did you guys ever receive a canelink email?
  10. @Lunarious_Nuit, no worries! Just log into the facebook that you created and paste this into your browser: https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/?ref_type=bookmark It should direct you to create a page! If you already made one of these, even better! Also, I checked my messages on my canelink and I haven't received any I'm guessing it will also update after I receive the snail mail like @risser's did. Thanks for the advice! I'll call Monday if I don't receive a letter by then.
  11. I was supposed to hear back by the end of this week according to ---------------, but nothing in the mail yet Hopefully I find out soon! Also, @Lunarious_Nuit, you should create a facebook "group page" instead of a person's page because it would allow you to make it a members only page. Also, it allows members to do a bunch more stuff on the group page and lets people receive notifications after page activity. That's what all the past cohorts have created and it seems more efficient :) Thanks for taking the time to make a page, looks super cute! Hopefully I'll be a part of it soon
  12. @risser Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm also really anxious, haha! Is UM your top choice? Also, did they update your status on Canelink?
  13. I submitted my app Jan 15, was verified on Jan 29, but UM didn't receive my application until Feb 12 because their system wasn't showing new applicants for some odd reason. They know that I submitted early though, so that's good!
  14. Update: AC told me that a decision on my application would be made by the end of next week! Gahhh!!! Good luck everyone! Any updates??
  15. I don't think any of us have officially received our cane link yet. We just tried logging in ourselves by resetting our usernames and passwords, lol.
  16. Ok, so I was originally logging into myUM. I just tried logging into Canelink and I'm receiving an error message, so maybe they haven't made a decision yet for my application. Makes sense since they only received my application last Thursday. I'll keep you updated!
  17. Thanks for the update! I just tried logging in to Canelink to see if I also had an account made using my SSN, and I did! I can only see my email info, along with some other personal info. Where do you click to see the application status?
  18. They finally received my application!!! Yayyy!!! So glad the issue was finally resolved! Now we play the waiting game again, lol.
  19. I can't seem to download my application, probably because of the error gahhh!
  20. Omg, how exciting!!!!! Good luck everyone!!! I hope they fix my issue soon D:
  21. I called again today and they told me they haven't heard back from NursingCAS yet, so they just sent them another email. They're very worried because they have no idea how many students aren't showing up on the system, so they want to resolve the issue ASAP! They also told me not to worry becuase they've already advised the admission committee, so they're going to treat my application as if I submitted early (which I did... lol). So that makes me feel better! Hopefully I hear back soon!
  22. Yeah, she's the one who looked for my application. NursingCAS is the one with the issue, so I have to wait until they fix it :/
  23. Hey guys, quick update: I called UM last week a couple of days after my application was verified to ask them if they had received my application. Apparently it was nowhere to be found! The lady on the phone searched through applications that were submitted, still in progress, everywhere she could! I sent her the e-mail proving that my application was verified and she showed it to the tehnical guy to see why I wasn't showing up. He also didn't know and asked me to call NursingCAS. The next day when I called NursingCAS they told me that my application was indeed submitted and verified and they didn't understand why I wasn't showing up in UM's system. They told me to call UM back and have the tech guy call the tech person at NursingCAS (each school has a different tech person) to fix the issue. After that, I received an e-mail the next day from NursingCAS that said they were working on the issue. Now I have to just sit back and hope this all gets resolved soon since this is out of control It's a bit frustrating since I was verified Jan 29 (10 days ago) but the admissions committee won't see my application until they fix the issue. Normally it wouldn't matter, but since UM uses rolling admission it's always best to submit earlier, which I did do but now this happened... Call UM and make sure they have your application!!! If I wouldn't have called, they would have never seen mine! Has anyone else had this problem?
  24. @mariedianne1435 So glad I was able to help out :) and yes, I submitted my application on Jan 15 and was verified on Jan 29! I'm from Florida but I went to school up at The University of Pennsylvania. After graduation I came back home, I missed it here too much! lol.
  25. Hi! I think that the verification process only accounts for the transcripts. In an e-mail I received a long time ago, they said: "The verification process won't start until all of the transcripts have arrived, but we do continue to process transcripts even after a deadline. If you have questions about the program specifically and how they review transcripts, we recommend reaching out directly to that school." So I don't think they need the recommendation letters to be completed necessarily. This makes sense since it's UM's job to read the letters, not NursingCAS. NursingCAS just has to make sure that your grades are correctly inputted and then they send all the info over to UM. So I think as long as your recommendation letter has been accepted, you should be fine! Maybe try to rush your recommender a bit? Haha Also, when I called UM last semester to ask which chemistry classes they accept they told me that the class had to be introductory/general and non-organic, so I'm not sure orgo would count Maybe call the office and ask? Good luck!
