Hello everyone! A couple of weeks ago I endorsed my license to move to Florida and it already has been approved :) . Therefore, I am looking at level 1 or level 2 trauma from Florida that also have a lifting team for the ICU's. During my almost two years in the SICU I am currently working, I have earned a couple of bulging discs so that is why I am interested in knowing what hospitals have lifting teams. Does any of you know? Also, please, let me know if you know of any hospital that is hiring ICU nurses (ideally I would like to continue in SICU but I am open to any adult ICUs too). It can be confusing to apply from another states to hospitals you have never heard much from. Thank you all in advance for your feedback :)

Hello! Is there anyone who has done/is doing the RN-BSN blended option program at Indiana Wesleyan University? I was looking into taking it there. I have read that they are CCNE accredited, which is good! If anyone did the RN-BSN blended program at IWU, would you recommend it? were the teachers supportive? do you think that by following the directions of the assignments and instructions it is doable to get an A in the class or the teachers seemed to grade unfairly? jja224, Thank you for your comment. It makes me feel better that they will be able to see all my college classes and grades. Actually, in my opinion, it makes sense that some admissions committee would like to see everything I have done but I happened to read otherwise in some places... However, thank you for sharing your experience, it helps! :)

delphine22, Thank you for your input. I am not in Florida yet, but I wanted to see if there are real possibilities for me to get hired as a new grad in ICU and having an ADN before I do the moving. Also, thank you for letting me know about some employers trying to shorten the orientation. I will keep that in mind :)

Hello everyone, I took the associate's degree in nursing in a specific college. Expecting the same quality education, I began their BSN-C just to find out two semesters after that, although I was getting good grades, I was not learning anything and I had to constantly "teach" APA 6th edition to my nursing teachers directing them to the APA manual. Since I was paying a substantial amount of money, I decided to transfer schools and take a hybrid BSN completion program (although the non-nursing classes were excellent). That being said, I have a transcript from an institution with a complete associate's degree and two semesters of BSN-C (in these two semesters I took communication, statistics, arts, and pathophysiology). Now, when I finish my BSN completion I will a transcript with nursing classes from this another institution. I know the GPA is important for a student to be competitive when applying to a CRNA program. I also know that statistics is an important class to apply to this program. However, when I read some admissions for CRNA programs they say to submit the transcripts for the BSN. However, I want them to know I had an excellent performance during my ADN and that I took some other non-nursing classes as important as Statistics and had an A in the class. Therefore, if some in a similar situation applied to a CRNA program...how did that work? Did you send transcripts of every institution (ADN, BSN completion, and other possible classes) or just the BSN completion? Although every institution may be different in what they required, I am curious to know how that worked for some of you. Thank you!

Hello everyone, I am considering the possibility of moving to Florida. I would have to endorse my license first (I have an RN license from OH since May). I am a new grad and I speak Spanish which I think that would help me more in FL than in Ohio. Also, I am passionate about Critical Care and I know that some facilities have Internships for new graduates. I wonder if there is someone out there who knows of any FL Critical Care Internship for new graduates and if in FL they still give a chance to ADN graduates (I have completed two semesters of the BSN completion so far).
