Just to clarify, do you mean that everyone who was accepted already received a phone call and will also receive a followup e-mail or that some people received acceptance through phone call and others will receive it by e-mail? In other words, are those of us who did not receive a phone call officially out of the running or is there still a chance we'll receive an e-mail letting us know we've been accepted? Sorry for my confusion!

By phone? Oh my gosh, you must have been freaking out! Hahaha, were you able to manage a response or were you too overwhelmed with emotion? Did you get any other juicy details? I've been trying to convince myself that it will be okay either way but the truth is my heart is set on getting into this program. I truly believe one door closing means another is opening. It will just be really hard to keep that in mind if I'm rejected. Sheesh. I assume you are right Hopejoy, there will probably be more acceptances tomorrow. Let's hope! *deep breaths*

Called the nursing department...they said the letters will be going out in a few days. I didn't speak with any department head - just the general line. Hmmmmmm. Hope joy, if you do call please post and let us know what they said!

Yup, we are probably all in the same obsessive cycle of checking this forum and our e-mail every few seconds. Does anyone know how waitlisted folks find out their status? Snail mail or e-mail? May 25, what department did you call (nursing or graduate studies) when you asked where they were at with applications. Did it seem certain that they would send out their decisions either yesterday or today?

I called admissions today and asked when we could expect to hear whether or not we had been accepted. The answer? Early March at the earliest. They are still looking through our applications and are even receiving some new ones. Needless to say, I'm pretty bummed. I was hoping to hear back from them within the next few days. C'est la vie. I suppose we've already waited this long already. What's another month?

That's my understanding. One personal essay in which we were to discuss our career goals and our reason for wanting to attend PLU. Mine was on the long side. I wonder if I did myself a disservice by not being more brief. I tell you, the waiting is not helping my sense of moral!

Hi Folks, I wonder if those of you who were admitted into the 2014 ELMSN cohort might be willing to answer a few questions for me. First, what is your experience of the program like so far? Would you describe your general schedule each week? How many days per week are you in class and for how many hours? Anything you wish you had known before you started? Thank you so much for any information you are willing to share!

Gosh, I would be so excited to have a response by the new year. Like fee-fi-fo-fum I also thought we could start to expect responses Jan-Feb, but I hope you are right and that we'll get them earlier! If I remember correctly, they were expecting around 120-130 responses this year, but received 100 last year and only 80 of those applications were complete. I think they're sending our applications over to the nursing department this week, so perhaps we'll find out how many applied then? I need to just take a deep breath and settle in for the long haul. Phew! Thanks for chiming in! If you hear anything, update please!

Hi Folks, Thanks for starting this thread! I've been keeping an eye on it for the past few months, but haven't had anything to contribute until now. I'm curious, do any of you know how many people applied this year? I'm assuming most who apply will do so by the priority deadline, right? I went to an information session and they said they were going to try to speed up the admissions process this year, which is exciting. Still, it's going to be a long few months!

Hi Ahaffly, Thanks for asking this question. I'm wondering if you had any luck obtaining an answer to your question. While I have applied to the ELMSN program, I have not entirely figured out how I will pay if it if I am accepted. I've spoken to the financial aid folks at PLU which was clarifying, but not totally helpful. Do you have any leads? Thanks!
