HI, I ma not a good candidate as I took break from work and raised my kid. That is the reason I have a gap in my career. I cannot change that. This is the specific reason I am not a "good candidate". I think you did not understand my question and my situation. Why I took the job though it is not paying me enough???? Making something is better than making nothing.... I do not know or do not want ot know what is your financial situation but making $30/hr is much better than stay home and wait for 100$/hr job.... that is what I believe... and based on my financial situation!!! Before this gap, I never had problem to get a job... I alwasy had 4 to 5 offers when I tried to change it. Thanks for your comments.

I have my BSN. Mine is 3 to 11 job and the pay is very low I made more than in 2008 as a new grad. I know it is very stressless job but with that pay it is very hard to live....

Mine is 3 to 11pm and fixed shift.... for only one pt and it is hourly pay and pay is way low... so I do not have fexibility ... but the only thing here that I am taking care of only one pt....

Hi, I am away from work for 2.5 years to raise my daughter and I am ready to go back. I continued my CE's and licenses and BLS, ACLS.... Applied to the hospitals but they are ready to hire "better candidate than me" I ended up getting a homehealth job with a very low pay. I am ready to do it... but with a home health experience do you think I will ever get a Hospital job??? Also I read here there is a job board where we can upload our resume to get hired. Where is it and how to add it?? Thanks in Advance.

I have been away from work for 2.5 years due to my daughter. I am in CA East Bay area... I continued my CE's and licenses and BLS and ACLS... I applied in CA hospitals and in HOuston Hospitals but only response "Better candidate than you" One Home Health agency offered me a job but pay is way lower than I had even made even as a New Grad. Has 4 years of experience in Trauma, Tele, PCU, Emergency. ICU and Travel nursing... Never had problem to get a job before... but this "better than you" is killing and very very depressing.... When I started as a new grad I started with so many nurses who stayed home for 3 to 15 years.... DO not know why is that!!! Where I see the posts are vacants for a year and they still do nto want to hire me... I know I need max 1 week of orientation .... VERY Frustrating situation!!!

I already checked Florida is not under campact state. I am not going back to Florida. Why? I can take the exam from Dallas. But not sure I can take the Texas board or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All, I am graduated from Barry University Florida. I moved to Texas for the job. As a graduate nurse I already got the job at Baylor University Medical Center. I did not even take my NCLEX yet. I want to know which one will be easy? Can I take my NCLEX from Texas board of Nursing? Or, I will take NCLEX from Florida Board of Nursing and then Apply for endorsement? If anybody knows the procedure and the easy way to deal with this situation please reply ASAP. If you know in detail please send me the information.............. I also want to know your suggestion who already been through this situation........... Please help me.
