  1. yeah, and many of the nurses who have worked at our facility have left for acute care facilities, so not sure. Really just depends on what environment is preferred I suppose.
  2. I currently have only worked in skilled ltc, lots of rehab, our facility cares for vent pts, of course tube feeders, we see a lot of chf, copd, cva, dementia, wounds, picc lines, while it is mostly older adults, we do have younger as well, some nurses who have worked in both, say it is pretty similar to working med surg, just curious of others views if you have both skilled ltc and hospital exp.
  3. yes, I realize that, and wow, thanks for replying, i appreciate that!!!
  4. wow, well not knowing him or you personally, I really should not comment, however lets just say it I was to comment about a different but similar issue, to me the he sounds immature, as well maybe a bit of an inferiority issue going on. The one thing, which it sounds like you have done your best here, I am sure you have heard this, but we can not pick our patients, so we run into all kinds, and we have to learn to tolerate it...good job just venting and keeping above it all, (it honestly also sounds boarderline harrassment, on his part)
  5. I started with TCN the end of this past summer, 2014, I feel like I'm up against some hard currents, (the LPN to RN bridge), I passed my first exam, failed my eng comp!!! was totally bummed, but I have since picked myself up, working on the A&P, so much info to cram into one exam, anyway, still waiting on my first check to arrive from my first exam, its been now beyond the 10-12 weeks I was told, so anyone else just dealing with similar issues? I think one of my hardest issues to deal with is, my wife is not supportive of me moving from lpn, to RN. So any sort of other experiences, or uplifting support? thanks Tim
