Yes dcpRN is correct, what I obviously meant was becoming a RPN first was an easier route than becoming an RN. I have spoken to several IEN's who have really struggled to become registered as RN's in Ontario. This is despite them having degrees and years of experience. Apparently few pass the OSCE and CNO don't offer much in the way of bridging courses on areas that nurses are lacking in. Thanks firstlight for suggesting the course at York University, I wasn't aware of such a course and I will look into it.
