  1. Hello! i'll be starting a new job shortly. I've been a RPN for a couple of years, i have experience on multiple floors but mostly on Mental Health (which i have been working the longest). I havent had much experience on unit with patient who arnt independent. Other unit I worked was Ambulatory care where its more like a "clinic" of outpatients. I just accepted a position as a NRU- nursing reserve unit. Where i'll be trained on 9 different units to relieve the amount of overtime in the hospital. I AM NERVOUS. The training is 2 days and 2 nights, which to me isnt a lot of time do be trained and then be set on my own. I'm mostly nervous for the staff, i'm unsure of how helpful they will be and I dont know everything and will rely on them for support. I'm trying to prepare for this job as best as I cant but i am stressed of the "what ifs" and im losing sleep over it already! I want to be able to help my patient the best I can but its hard to in unfamiliar environments, I'm wondering how long it will take to feel confortable/confident?? I dont want to be stressed every single day of the "unknown". Anyyyy advice??
  2. Hello! Need some help creating a goal for hopelessness related to abandonment. I'm having a hard time thinking of one. It needs to start with " Patient will...." and then have two outcomes with it. My patient has stated that her kids have left her and want nothing to do with her, so i thought this would be a good nursing diagnosis for my psycho social assessment. Thanks!
