  1. I'm on my way to maui, hi. They pay for it all. I'll let you knoq
  2. I'm an LPN and I just worked my first contract in New Hampshire. I'm now headed to Hawaii. I hate when people say it's hard for LPN's to gain positions as travelers or in a hospital like we are useless. If you do your research you will find plenty of travel jobs. I've worked with Core medical, I hated it. I'm now with Medical Staffing Solutions.

  4. This was my first travel assignment and it is 16 hours away from home, driving. When I first came here the housing was some flea bag whore motel. My recruiter stated he had no other issues with nurses staying there. Lies!!! I was told by a supervisor at my facility that they have had travelers never show up because of that. So then the housing that I found was 1400 a month and it was a room at at B&B, a nice room but I wasn't saving any money at all. My recruiter NEVER called to check in on me, even though it was my first assignment. I was depressed for a while about it but after 2 months I found a place cheaper. The recruiters care about the $$$$ that is all. I will not let it stop me from traveling but this is an experience to remember and definitely a valuable lesson. Stay away from Core
  5. she probably hated the housing
  6. Girl I work for Core now and the way they do housing sucks so I'm definitely NOT going all the way to Hawaii with them. Were the people nice? Another traveler I work with said that Maui was boring. I get offers for Hilo and Honolulu a lot. It seems to be ALOT of Hawaii jobs out there. The pay isn't all that but it is a paid vacation and if you get a company that pays for everything that's a plus.
  7. Oh ok great. The company that offered to me was Medical staffing solutions and core medical. I'm leaning towards Medical staffing because they offer paid travel, rental and housing plus a good pay rate. I see a lot of hawaii jobs in Hilo and honolulu
  8. I am currently on my first assignment in New Hampshire. Its freezing and snowy here and I am looking to go somewhere hot next. I have been offered an assignment in Hawaii and I really want to go. I'm a little nervous because I will be by myself, but not so nervous that I wont go. I'm just curious about how it is to actually live there and work as a nurse. Has anyone ever been on assignment in Hawaii and if so, How has it been?
  9. Well I got my first assignment. I decided to try my luck in New Hampshire since I live in Charlotte, Nc now and my family is in Ny, I figured i'd be close to my family for 13 weeks. Im nervous because I am African American, and I dont know if it will be alot of diversity. Also the housing options suck!! Does anybody on here know of great furnished housing in Keene or surrounding areas??? N can u tell me anything about New Hampshire?
