  1. Tell me about math online! It was killer haha Yes I have taken all my classes online. I work as a flagger so I don't have a set schedule which makes it difficult to take classes I went to school in chilliwack at Sardis. I volunteered at the hospital, and as a first aid attendant with St. John ambulance, and I worked in a seniors home. What made you decide on nursing as a career?
  2. That's awesome :) I'm sure you will be fine then! I am working on it now, through distance ed. I graduated in 2011, what about you? Where have you volunteered? -Lisa
  3. Honestly grades are the most important aspect. I have 400 hours of volunteer, 4 reference letters, 2 As and 2 Bs. I spoke to ******* after being declined and she told me I had a very strong application, that I did really well in the interview, but my grades we too low still. So I have to upgrade chemistry again... Ugh. Haha
  4. Hey! I am also applying for the January intake. I've applied a few times already, had 2 interviews and been wait listed. Obviously I didn't get in haha It is quite competitive. As for the volunteer hours, you're on the right track!
  5. I actually have not considered that! Thank you for the suggestion :) Sydney- stay positive! I talked to the lady who did the information session when I was wait listed , and she said in January they rarely take anyone off the wait list, but for September they are able to take a few and sometimes even all the people off the wait list. I really hope you make it :)
  6. Jennicole- where are you going to take your biology?
  7. Nope I got wait listed last time, they generally have less than 7 people on the wait list so there is hope! Way to go :)
  8. No I didn't I am going to upgrade chemistry again. Ugh...
  9. I didn't get in either, she said the only thing I need to improve is bio and chem from a B to an A
  10. My interviewer said we would all get emails on May 15th. It's killing me to wait so long! Another 10 days. Ugh. Hope this helps!
  11. How did you find the essay questions tonight?
  12. Got an email the other day for the information session, I got march 17th from 4-6, anyone else?
  13. This will be my 4th time applying. I made it through the interviewing process last intake- and was wait listed(less than 10 people) for spots that some accepted students may forfeit. Sadly I didnt get in I have 2 reference letters- I've got 200+ hours with St. John ambulance, 2 As 2 Bs. It feels like they defer people their first time applying to see if they really want it. The interview was easy, she said I aced it, she was super nice and easy to talk to. They just had a list of questions and wrote down all your answers.
  14. I might as well respond to one post instead of both haha Your first time?! You're gonna rock :) it's a lot of waiting, so just try to push it out of you mind or you'll just be a ball of anxiety haha What were your grades? Volunteer hours? How many reference letters?
  15. Anxious doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about the application process haha
