  1. I have decided to go to UTHSC, so one spot will be open for NH this fall. I'll email the office my decision tomorrow. Good luck!
  2. After talking with my parents, fiancé, and his mother, they are all urging me to go to UTHSC. His mother is a retired nurse and my mom was a nurse for 20 years. I just need to set a strict schedule and stick to it and I'll be fine. I have been wanting this, so I can't pass up the opportunity. I really hope that you get in this fall. If not, you should definitely be able to get in for spring semester. Thanks for being open about your experience as a working mother- it means more than you know. Good luck :)
  3. Yes I got it at 5pm
  4. Well now I've been accepted from the wait list... AHHH
  5. I got my acceptance to Lone star NH yesterday and I'm taking it. After talking to two current UTHSC students, one with two young kids, I decided it's better for me and my family to do ADN first. This will probably be our only child; I'm not willing to be away from him for 60+ hours a week. There's always early decision RN to BSN to UTHSC for Lonestar and HCC ADN students, so we will wait until that time comes. congratulations on your acceptances. If you didn't get in, resend your application! My friend applied three times in a row.. Denied, wait listed, then accepted. I think they look at how badly you want to go there and will take you at some point :) good luck!
  6. I just looked I can't find the FB group. Do you want me to make one for NH?
  7. received my acceptance to NH at 1:29pm
  8. Did anyone hear from NH today? I applied with 7.7 so I assumed I would get in?
  9. Yeah I am waiting on acceptance from LSCS NH, should be any day now. I applied with a 7.7/8; the advisor didn't say I would be auto admitted, but she did say that my score was "very high". I might re-apply for spring at UTHSC, but it would mean forfeiting a spot at NH in the fall. I am going to plan on attending A nursing school this fall, so I'm going to get my titers and finish Hep B, etc. I think UTHealth used to basically auto-admit wait-listers for the next semester, but they don't anymore. Does anyone know for certain?
  10. Waitlisted...
  11. Make it a double!
  12. I got TDAP and flu shots in September when I was 36 weeks pregnant, so I think I should be ok if I get proof of immunization.
  13. Where did you get the titers and how much was it? Thanks :)
  14. Even if it's bad news, I still want to know so I can have some closure
  15. Well you can call and ask if you want
  16. Someone on this forum said they called last week and was told that they have more to send out
  17. Well the accepted applicants get 10 days to accept/decline their spot before they lose it. Maybe they don't send more until they have all responded to their acceptance
  18. There's absolutely no way of knowing how they choose :/
  19. Ahhh... Why can't they just send them all out at once, give the top 120 picks 10 days to accept or decline, then start notifying the wait listers about open spots.. Even if I'm not accepted I at least want to know because I really can't stop thinking about all the arrangements I need to start making if I am accepted (loans, Titers, insurance, etc)! I also have to talk to my mother, fiancé, and his mother about what says they would be free to watch baby. Ahhhh!
  20. Congratulations! Mine is still yellow but who knows how all this works. Did you get an email too?
  21. It's the date on the SON website
  22. Even if I happen to get accepted, I think I'm going to just do ADN at Lonestar NH. My son will be turning 10 months when fall semester starts.. I don't think I could keep up at UT Health :/
  23. We are all waiting.. This thread has been very quiet over the last week or so. Welcome though :)
  24. Has anyone's admission status changed? I know it doesn't need to be said, but I am really ready to find out!
  25. I think they are computer generated and random lol
