  1. rob4546 - Thanks ! And I hope you're right, that I can use my outgoing personality to my advantage!! I actually did try to connect with the hospital about nurse shadowing , but they informed me that it would be to much of a liability to the hospital because I have no training and probably don't have all my shots . I think it would be really beneficial so maybe I'll try a nurse that's in a smaller setting !! Great advice :)
  2. BeachyRN2Be- That was the main thing for me as well, I found absolutely everything so BORING !! I wasn't excited about anything but suspect if I'm this interested in nursing as you are I'll do well!! Congrats on proving everyone wrong!! haha
  3. I just wanted to say thank you for all the replies!! It is very reassuring to know that I'm not the only one !! It's nice to hear you guys all took a leap of faith and went for your dream even though you might of doubted yourself! You gave me hope, so thank you ! I start my pre-requisites in Spring 2015!
  4. In high school I was always the class clown , never particularly excelled in any given subject. Every teacher always told me that I was smart, just needed to apply myself, but I never bothered..But now I'm thinking of starting nursing school and everyone is doubting me! I've always been a caring person and love making people happy and taking care of them, loved biology & science (especially dissection) and don't get grossed out easily at all. I'm a great multi-tasking..great at decision making and a great people person as well.. I never thought of being a nurse then it just hit me one day and since then everything I do is working towards it and researching it. I was just wondering if anyone else didn't get the best grades in high school but still ended up graduating nursing school and lived on to enjoy a nursing career?
