  1. Hey guys! I am currently in a BSN program right now, and I decided on nursing as a second career with the specific goal of becoming a psych nurse practitioner. I have a bachelor's in health science and a minor in psych with 6 years experience in mental health as a recreation therapist. Does anyone know of any schools that would allow me to take some graduate level courses towards my PMHNP while I'm finishing my BSN? I would really love to knock out a semester of grad school while I finish this BSN. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  2. I have been searching for something similar with not much luck. My situation is a little different though... I have a BS in Health Science with a minor in Psych, and I'm currently in a BSN program. I'm trying to find an online program that will allow me to start taking some of the core courses for PMHNP while I am finishing my BSN. The program I am currently in used to have an honors program that allowed you to take 10 hours towards your masters while completing your BSN, but they took that away this year when I became eligible.... Just my luck! I know many programs want you to have a year of working as a psych RN before you can apply as well. I have worked as a recreation therapist at a mental health facility for the past six years, maybe that could count? If any has any guidance I would appreciate it! Best of luck!
