  1. Hehe Alright so as long as they're not offensive it should not be a big deal! thanks guys!
  2. none of mine should be offensive to anyone... but you never know hehe
  3. Hey there, This topic is plain and simple. How do you guys feel about nurses with tattoos? I'm at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to my age and what I chose as my career and all the way through school I either had to cover up or give a long explanation as to why I have it. Most of the older nurses always came at me with the same "It's not professional stuff -_-" Now that I work I don't get questioned but sometimes I feel the stare of either some of the people I'm working with or Pt's. I really love tattoos and I also really love nursing and I think that the whole super conservatives just make you feel that since you have tattoos you are not up-to-par. Thoughts anyone? -Yadi, LPN
  4. Thank you so much! In theory I guess I'm pretty spot on, I just need more practice. That seems to be the common reply! Again thank you!
  5. Hello, fellow nurses This is my first post since I got my licence. I'm an LPN currently working continuous care with a hospice company. Whenever a pt goes into some sort of crisis they bring us in to provide round-the-clock care. This is all fine with me except for some aspects of care that I am not 100% comfortable with. In a few of these cases it's just me and my pt, and before my 12 hour night shift is over I have to leave the pt bathed and changed. I'm fine with the smells and sights of nursing that's not my issue. I don't want to hurt any of my pt's while I bathe them. I also see myself taking a long time doing the bed bath. I'v seen CNA's do it in a fraction of what it takes me. Any tips on how I can get better at these and provide my pt's with a safe, comfortable, and reassuring bed bath??? -Yadi LPN
