umass boston nursing fall 2015
@BosBSNhopeful I wouldn't be worried if I were you. They mail out decisions through March too, plus I'm sure this is a busy time for them as the admissions deadlines just recently passed or are about to. Stay positive! :)

@Jaekaydee haha absolutely! I think that it's only one course for the lifespan (I hope). The handbook says it's a 3 credit "lifespan" course and must cover the entire lifespan. I know my lifespan course covered the whole life cycle but who knows and yeah I think you're right. I'm unsure about bio but it says any 4 credit chem w/ lab course will suffice and they do have a physiochem course. So, I'll call them Monday morning and let you know what they say! :)

@jaekaydee ohhh okay that makes sense. Thanks that's really helpful. I went on transferology and there were stars next to the course so I'm guessing it's for the reason of needing dev 1 & 2. I really hope that isn't the case because I've taken lifespan psych. The umb site says that it needs to cover lifespan and necc offers lifespan and dev 1 and 2 but hopefully just my lifespan course will count for something. I also haven't done intro to chem or bio, but have taken physiochem and human bio. Ugh I'll try and talk to someone Monday about it because my courses are all over the place. Anyways, thanks again I appreciate it!

Hey thanks jaekaydee! I did see that but I'm not sure if they mean for every prerequisite to be taken. I should be getting my transfer credit info soon and worst case scenario I'll just have to take a couple classes this summer. Anyways thanks for posting that! :) Also, congrats to everyone so far! Look forward to meeting you in the fall!

Hey I know this isn't the right thread to post this in but I don't see many for Umass Boston so I figured I'd post it here. Does anyone know if all of the prerequisites need to be completed before starting the first semester at Umb? I have all of them done from Northern Essex other than gen chem, gen bio, and dev psych (that's if they don't let my lifespan psych credits transfer) I was thinking that the first year at umb (sophomore year) would be mostly gen ed classes and any left over prereqs needed, while the junior year would be the core nursing classes, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows for certain. Any info helps, thanks! -Dan

Hey everyone! Was just accepted as a transfer from northern essex, waiting to hear back from a few other schools but I'm pretty set on going to umb. Also, I don't know why the admissions status was never updated but I received a letter in the mail and my status online still hasn't changed, just saying if anyone's checking their status religiously like I was, it should be coming in the mail by the end of January.

Is Rivier College a good school?
Hey guys, Was anyone on here a transfer? I was just wondering whether or not high school transcripts were required for a transfer student's admission from another college. I'm graduating soon with an associates and I have about 36 college credits with a gpa of 3.87. Anything helps, thanks!
