As senior nursing students, we have been asked to study outcomes management and how it is actually practiced in today's nursing world. We would like to gain some knowledge of outcomes management from nurses who use this as a part of their practice and what role it plays. We look forward to your responses. Thank you! Huber states that, outcomes management is a "multidisciplinary process designed to provide quality health care, decrease fragmentation, enhance outcomes, and constrain costs" (2010). Outcomes management provides a way for interdisciplinary collaboration in improving patient outcomes. There are many benefits of an outcomes management program such as decreasing healthcare costs, decreasing length of stays, improving clinical outcomes, improving system processes and developing outcomes research.
