  1. @txchickadee I reached out yesterday to the department co-coordinator that interviewed me, and she said she spoke with student affairs and stated " they sent out an automated email this week and you should hear from them shortly." Not entirely clear on what that may mean, so I will wait for Monday and reach out to Student affairs directly. Who did you speak with that gave you the run around?
  2. QUESTION for you guys. I have an appointment for a physical on the 29th to complete these documents for the health requirement. However, the school will be closed that entire week. Is there a drop box of some sort so that I can have the required paperwork handed in by the 4th?
  3. GOT IN TOO!! YAY SO EXCITED! My Email stated that I am registered for 603. Did you guys clear that up with Elsa yet? Should I register for the 602 courses?
  4. Yes, I got to finish the math section at the very last minute. But, this was due to rushing through the remaining questions and guessing on a few questions. I received my lowest score on this section of a 74%. But, since I was told that guessing can benefit your score and give points rather than leaving blank I just went for it and guessed on the last 10 questions I had lol
  5. it went up to a 78%...and thats where it will remain. Now, we.......waaaiitt.
  6. Just got home from the exam. And, that God its over! lol I scored an 88% so I did fairly well considering I ran out of time on the math portion which I am so annoyed about because I could have gotten a higher score :-( I'm hoping the average score stays at 77 or falls below! I know my score is pretty good, but our group has some pretty high scores in comparison to last years evening program. So, we may all be geniuses and this may mean it will be more competitive haha!
  7. I thought that we are excluded from the Chemistry portion of the exam...
  8. Hey Guys, so I am taking the HESI tomorrow. Is there anything that I should really focus on studying? I am stressing out, and trying to cram every little thing into studying today and tomorrow morning. I would greatly appreciate it, if those of you who have taken it can tell me what I should focus on and what things I shouldn't. Thanks in advance!!! :-)
  9. I am not even sure when, I was hoping to register like last minute to give me the most time possible to study. The last day to register is November 5th, correct?
  10. Okay guys, just got the email to move forward and register for the exam! So exciting! It also stated, to NOT take the A&P module.....this is quite odd, because I would assume this would be the most important. Is this something new their doing this year, or what? That just makes the HESI exam a whole lot easier! And, probably more competitive......
  11. Hey Guys! I just received the email to do the background check online! Has anyone else gotten this email?
  12. Yes, I am beyond relieved! Ive heard that it isn't so bad as most people believe it to be. Thanks, and good luck to you as well on the start of your first semester!
  13. Hey! So, I spoke with a lady that is in charge of admissions to the nursing program. Higher level chemistry courses are permitted to satisfy the requirement. If you don't mind me asking how well did you do on the Hesi? I want to shoot for over an 85, so any information would help a ton! Like, what type of questions should I look for, and what should I focus on when I study.
  14. Hey @mdavidson1 were you able to ask about the chemistry requirement when you met with admissions?
  15. You just got me very very nervous. But, I wouldn't see why a higher level chemistry wouldn't be acceptable? I could understand if a lower level chemistry were taken. And, I got a B in the course so it meets the requirements of C or better. I called the admissions, but I guess the phone was busy. So, I am going to call again and see if I am in the clear or not. I registered for a CHM-100 course just in case. But, if they say I do not need it then I am just going to drop it.
  16. Definitely! Have you read the previous thread from last year's group?
  17. Yes I would appreciate that! Definitely let me know what they say. I really do hope that it is not a problem. I wish more people would comment on here so we can study for the hesi together. I'm stressed about it, since the decision weighs so heavily on the exam.
  18. Hey! Just sent in my change of curriculum form. I am so anxious it's insane. I know we won't be hearing from anyone until the deadline, so not until October! That seems like an eternity from now! I am also nervous about my Chemistry pre-reqs also since I skipped over Chm-100 and took College Chemistry instead. I am not sure if that will matter, since it is a higher level chemistry. It just has me so nervous! But, I know it wouldn't make sense that they reject my application because I took a higher level. I am just CRAZY NERVOUS! Have you started studying for the HESI yet?
  19. If you dont mind me asking, why did you drop out?
  20. Hi guys! So I plan on applying in the fall for the Evening nursing program, and I was wondering if any of you can give me any insight into the program. Is it do-able to be full time in the programs during the evening while maintaining a job during the day? Also, I just emailed someone in the department about the chemistry equivalency. I completed a higher level chemistry course than the one needed and I was wondering if anyone knew if this would be counted towards the pre-requisite of the chm-100 course required. But, other than that if you can just let me know what to expect that would be great! I am also looking into the surgical tech program here as well, and I wanted to know (HONEST) opinions what would be my best option! Hope to hear from you guys soon! Hope everything is going well for you!
  21. Hey guys! I am not sure if it is called Florida Southwestern State College or Edison State College, so I just put what the newest website says. Confusing! Anyways! I am currently taking pre reqs at a community college in New Jersey and I am looking into moving to the Fort Myers area and to apply FSSC possibly the Lee Campus or Charlotte Campus. Im not particular at all, I just want to get this started already!! Is there anyone in the same boat as I am? Or any students gathering up their pre reqs to apply? Can anyone tell me what exactly are the pre reqs for the program? Also, since I am going to be new to the are do you think I should move to the Fort Myers area? I want to be around some night life or at least have it be accessible to me. I have family North Port, but that was wayyyy too quiet for me, so I am considering Port Charlotte, Cape Coral, Fort Myers... I know its a lot! haha SORRY! Just super excited this is a HUGE move for me!
