I got a text from the school saying that the book list will be emailed to me. Haven't received it yet. I'll let you know as soon as I get it.

The Chem book is $36 to rent on amazon and $33 on bookrenter.com. If my Chem doesn't transfer I'm going that route! Pas for the communication, I don't have the most recent book list. I put in a call on Friday requesting a current one. Hopefully they get back to me ASAP! If I get one I'll make sure to forward it to you.

Do you happen to have the ISBN number for the Chem book?

We're trying to find a house super cheap since we don't know where my husband will be working once he finds a Reno job. He's going to commute to Sac for now, but I hate my family not being together. The first month is going to be rough!

Yes I am. I head back home tomorrow after orientation. But we have a lot to do in the next few weeks! Going to be living with my Aunt for a while until I can get the entire family moved over. Crazy busy but so excited!! And my scanner won't work, so I wasn't able to get that book list over to you. Sorry. :-(

I'm in! I got the call today that another student dropped and I officially have a spot!!

You can roll right into a BA program through Chamberlain College with a 15% discount on tuitition. It's all online and it's a 12 month program.

She gave me a list of books they use and I did an Amazon search on ALL of them and you can save about 2k. I also plan on using my iPad for eBooks. They give you the books at orientation and if you find it cheaper you just return the Carrington book to the school and they'll credit your account. Must be the exact book and edition.

Have you researched the books? A lot can be bought from Amazon or eBooks for much less than the ones you get from the school.

I'm still in sticker shock a little bit. Half of the tuition I'll have to pay for myself or with personal loans. But only two classes I have will transfer. That's still $4500 off my portion though!

Still #2 on the wait list! Going crazy! Do we start the moving process now, or wait??? Lol! She said a couple people are shaky so hopefully they drop ASAP! I would like to get moved the weekend after Christmas so we have a week to settle in! Just venting... Lol!

Just got off the phone with financial aid. I asked about the schedule and it's Mon-Fri 8-430 for the most part. Some days will start at 9am. But plan to be in school all day 5 days a week.

I'll ask her tomorrow, and get back to you. I just put my notice in at work, right before the holidays! But I'll be going back and forth to reno a lot to get everything arranged.

I believe that classes are Mon-Thurs in the beginning. 8 hours a day so having a evening/weekend job should be fine.

And we're arranging everything for a move over the hill! My son and I will be staying with my Aunt until we get a house...then the hubby and the animals. Rentals are more expensive that I was expecting in Reno.

I have a few transfer classes, there's a big difference in the CA prereq's vs. NV. I have math, English, & chemistry but only the math will transfer because chem isn't required and English has been too long. I have a phone appt with financial aid tomorrow at 1 so I can get that started.

I'm alternate #2!!!! So the likelihood of me getting in is about 80%! Already starting the financial aid and everything else! Super excited!

I got my letter today! I didn't make it with a guarnteed spot but I am one of 10 alternates. I'll be attending the orientation on the 17th. I put a call in to find out what spot I'm at on the alternate list so when she calls back on Monday hopefully I'll be near the top!
