  1. charming_kitty, I can't reply to your PM so I'll post my reply here -- I've already committed to 929 (4 bed 2 bath, because it's the cheapest). I don't think 929 is necessarily the best or safest option out there, but it is the most convenient for me and my circumstances, since I'll be moving from CA and working until school starts. I believe you can move into whichever available unit you want (studio, 2bed2bath, etc.) without having roommates -- you just pay your share of the rent and the leasing office will match you with roommates with similar preferences. I wasn't sure if I could find 3 roommates in time so I just signed my lease and left the roommate-matching up to the leasing office. Hope this helps!
  2. I'm also interested in the 929 apartments. The building is so close to the medical campus that I assume safety isn't an issue as long as you don't wander off, but I haven't been to the area yet so I can't say for sure. Anyone else having any luck with finding a place to live?
  3. thanks to FDJ13's post, I also just checked my portal and I'm in! Good luck everyone, I hope good news awaits you all!
  4. The only thing keeping me from committing to Hopkins is the tuition... yikes. I'm not too concerned about the location, because I've been told that there's decent security around the Medical Campus. I've had friends who lived in Baltimore for years and they're all alive and well. lol
  5. It seems unfair for Hopkins to send out admissions decisions in this way. I'm surprised to hear that they still haven't finalized their decisions (according to jess674's post). The deadline extension was odd as well; I can't imagine Hopkins having too few applicants to choose from. Weird... but I'm hoping that the admissions process doesn't reflect the nursing school/program as a whole. I really feel for those who are waiting to hear back. Hang in there!
  6. @FuturePedNP415 - I believe we have until April 1 to decide + pay the $500 deposit. (this is for the ABSN program; the master's entry program might be on a different schedule in terms of acceptance notifications and other important dates)
  7. @charming_kitty - I'm also on the west coast. Not getting a call isn't an issue for me, I was just sharing so that people expecting a phone call wouldn't get discouraged if they didn't get one. :)
  8. @charming_kitty - I didn't get any scholarship or financial aid info in the email. I'm guessing that the admissions packet will contain more information, but who knows. I also didn't get a phone call.
  9. @jess674, PublicHealthNurse1 -- the wait is really awful... It seems that accepted students in previous years were notified over the span of a few days (and not all on the same day), so no news definitely does not mean bad news. I hope you both get good news soon!
  10. I got an email this morning, telling me I got in (to the ABSN program). I wasn't expecting a decision so soon, but I did submit my application in early October so maybe that had something to do with it. Not sure. Sending positive thoughts to everyone!
  11. Ahh, got it. Thanks for clarifying. I must have gotten Hopkins confused with a different school.
  12. I also applied to the ABSN program, and I'm also very nervous. (I'm not a RPCV) I read in threads from previous years that Early Decision people were notified in mid-December... does anyone know if that's still the case? Good luck to everyone!
