Im sure that there will be some different teachers, but as far as I know most of them commute between New York City and Pleasantville.

You just need to understand that you will have to dedicate yourself to becoming a nurse. Its obtainable if you really want it and you work for it, it is just a hard program. Teachers will not cut you any slack. GOODLUCK!

I think its a great school, I absolutely love it, the teachers are great and willing to help. You have to be pro-active with your own grades, if you are not dedicated you will not make it. You have to be 100% dedicated, they want top nurses graduating. I just think the 1 year is meant for people to not succeed, but that's not just my opinion a lot of people in the program know this. Are you fresh out of highschool? or are you applying as a second degree?

hey everyone, This is just a tip.. I am currently in the ABSN program (the two year) at pace in Pleasantville, thankfully. I'm recommending that you choose the two-year program. They don't want to tell you this and nor will they but its basically a scheme. Last year only 9 people graduated from the group that began, the graduating class is approx. 40 people including 1 year, 2 year and 4 year students. So far since the spring began already 15 people have dropped to the one year program, moving to the two-year and losing about 6-7 grand each. And out of the 25 that are left in the one year 10 are in danger of failing. The second semester only gets harder, with 3 clinical class at once; 5 classes in total. If I was you I would just really consider it. They give you the time to change programs before the withdrawal date, so you have the chance to still be in the program.. The 2 year is a lot more manageable, but at times still difficult. Hope not to seem like a negative Nancy... Just wish I knew that their passing rate of 95+ for the NCLEX is because barely no one makes it the end. But the teachers are all great, very knowledgeable and you will get a great education, classes are difficult but teachers are always willing to help. It just seems as though the one year is just to fill their pockets.

Next semester would be downtown in the city .. Fall is in the city/ spring is at the Westchester location this past fall they received 700 applicants, 180 of which received interviews and then about half of that got in ... Scary stats

I received an email last night ... Two days after the interview ... Great news !!!!!!! maybe they haven't received your application ... Are you sure you applied correctly and sent in all your credentials ? math portion included fractions/conversions

Hey guys, Soooo here's a brief overview of my story.. I applied to Pace for the two-year ABSN before the Sept 1 deadline, I heard it's important to apply sooner then the first deadline because they consider those applications a priority ... I have mostly As and a couple Bs in my pre-reqs & I have a 3.5 undergrad GPA My interview was on Monday 10/20 and I'm sure just like everyone else I was very nervous !! Before the interview there was a small questionnaire which including a writing portion and a math; simple math ... The interview was a group interview also, I know!!! scary right ? And the greatest part of all.... I got my acceptance letter !!!! Yea that quick, Im officially in the program. I'm so happy yayyyy!!!
