  2. Accredited LPN Programs in NYC?

I'm trying not to put all my eggs in one basket, so, I've decided to also apply to an LPN program, even though I have just been accepted to an RN program at St. Paul's School of Nursing - Queens. Since I keep getting negative reviews of the school, I...
  3. Hey everyone, I posted a few days ago about being really excited about applying to SPSON and achieving a 91% on the HESI. The next step is the interview with the President, but now, after doing some extensive research I am not excited at all. I will...

  8. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

So far, I like the program. However, this is only my first semester. Next semester I start clinicals and it will be way tougher than the 1st semester. Eventhough, the first semester is not exactly a piece of cake. My advice is to keep your options op...
  9. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

Hi Chris, I'm an evening student. Yes the program is now 18 months vs. 2 years. Summer classes are pretty much mandatory because it's a regular schedule like in spring or fall that's why the program is shorter now.
  10. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

The reason why at the time I was so worried about this school is because I received a lot of negative feedback from former and current students. However, most of the students who started the year before I did, said that my class and every class that ...
  11. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

St. Paul's is NOT NLN Accredited. A membership and accreditation are not the same things. For accredited programs you have to check the ACEN website. If NLN accreditation is of utmost importance to you, I suggest you look into another school. We are ...
  12. St.Paul School of Nursing Queens

St Paul's actually has tutoring for the HESI. I went before I took it and it really helped me for the math.
  13. St.Paul School of Nursing Queens

I didn't leave any money to hold my seat. I don't think they do that anymore. The reading section was pretty easy for me. I memorized the vocabulary in the book. You actually get the Hesi results right after you finish each section in the main page. ...
  14. St.Paul School of Nursing Queens

Hey, I'm currently a student at St. Paul's, I suggest you memorize your conversions for the math and practice fractions! For me that was mistaken difficult part.
  15. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

  18. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

Hey what supplies is everyone using for school? I feel kind of odd walking into class with a spiral notebook. And when do we get our uniforms?
  19. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

Hey, SPSON is most definitely not NLN/ACEN accredited, nor are they in the process of accredidation. They just have a membership with the NLN. They only ABHES accredited, and I think that only applies to their MA program.
  20. St. Paul's School of Nursing - Spring 2015

Since they changed the layout of the program, we no longer have Clinicals for our first semester.
