  1. Hello, I was just accepted into nursing program starting in January of this upcoming year. Unfortunately in 2013 I was charged with a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. I did everything I was supposed to for that. Then just recently I got an OWI, which everything is still in the process. I know for clinicals they require a background check and I am worried these two things will get in the way of that. Even if they don't I am scared to go through nursing school and have the board deny my license. What I am wondering is if I should just go for it since I am already accepted into the program or wait awhile and maybe get some other classes out of the way. I do also plan on moving out of state within a few years, so another option would be doing the nursing program when I move. I just need some advice as to which direction to go. Much is appreciated. Thanks :)
