Two more weeks !

Anybody else have their interview? 3 weeks today until we find out about final decisions!

Db432 - I felt pretty good about my interview! I left with a smile so I feel like that is a good thing. Regardless of what happens, I am glad it is over. And if I need to go through this process again in the Fall, at least I will know what to expect! There were definitely a couple of questions that threw me off. However the most challenging part for me was trying to answer slow enough that my interviewer could write it all down as I said it... Once in a while she would ask me to repeat what I had said but I had totally lost my train of thought by that point! My interviewer was awesome though. She made me feel very comfortable and I think that really allowed me to answer my questions better because I wasn't as nervous. What did you think?

Sending you all good vibes this week that you hear about an interview! I have my interview on Thursday and I am just a littttttle nervous... Thinking of you guys. I know this waiting game is torture!

Your GPA is based on your pre-reqs. So English 12, Bio 12, Chem 11 and Math 11. If you have taken a these courses at a uni level i.e. Eng105 and your mark is better, I believe they will look at that instead. They would likely look at whatever mark was higher and base it that way. I am not 100% sure on that so it may be worth sending an email. Jennicole did you get an interview?!

Hey! I got an email at about 12pm today to call to set up an interview! I will have to call to set it up tomorrow. She said last night they would be emailing within the next 2 weeks. They said those with 16 and 14 pts (for academics) would be guaranteed and interview and then depending on how many there are they will interview those with pts below 14 to make sure as many people as possible get a chance. 70 people get interviews and 32 get seats in the program... I cant remember if she said they will let people know if they do not get an interview.

So how did the info session go tonight? Anything we should know for tomorrow? I hope it went well!!

Okay you will have to give me a heads up! Does it mean anything if you are on the first or second day for info sessions that you know of? Or am I just being anxious and reading too much into things? lol. Haha. I completely agree! I know I am not actually old, I just feel behind! But in reality I know it is just society that makes me feel this way! I have worked my butt off and i am committed to doing this! so regardless of how long it takes to get in... i am going to try!

Ahh I gotcha, that totally makes sense! That is so awesome, you've gotten into your first choice school! I hope I will be able to say the same :) Yah I am in a tough position. I feel like going to school for nursing is a HUGE investment. I would rather put my money where I really want to go. So even if I do not get in the first time around at UFV, I will likely re-apply for fast-track in September. We will see what happens! And thanks for your feedback!

That's awesome checkerspf! What has made you want to accept kwantlens offer right away? I am just curious because I was also accepted there. It's difficult because I would prefer to go to ufv but from the sounds of it, we won't even know if we are accepted into the ufv program long after we need to respond to kwantlen and need to have everything in by. Is this why you are accepting kwantlen right away? I feel so pressured! Also, do you know much about kwantlens program? I don't and wish I was able to find out more! Let me know if you do ! And congrats again! So exciting!

Yup bg95 we are def in the same class! And that would make sense! Maybe only new applicants got the email because you know your app is already being considered for the 2016 intake?

Hey guys i got an email this morning on my ufv account saying that "my application is now complete and is in a position to be considered. " Anyone else get this email? I don't totally know what it means but it's nice to just hear something!

ak12 I think there is only an interview with KPU if they request it. When I get the acceptance package in the mail I will see if it says anything else. Hey phoenixforealz! Thanks for the tip! I am actually currently in HSC111 and I am only taking it with one other course and it is a good taste of how intense things will get if accepted in the program... Hope your classes are going well so far this year!! Were you a September or January start?

Hey ak12, thank you!! No they didn't actually, I just happened to check my application status through mykwantlen and saw "offered(qual conditions)" so I emailed asking what this mean. The admissions lady replied and said its a conditional acceptance. The conditions are submitting CPR/first aid certif, criminal record check etc. she said they will also be mailing an acceptance package. did you apply to ufv also?
