Airforce Np base options
Sorry, I am confused on your last sentence. They do or don't use np for active duty? Why would it suite me?

Airforce Np base options
Either really both are options. But more so commissioning in AF. I feel as though if a base hires pmhnp then it makes sense they would have officers of the same specialties needed there as well, or vice versa. Hope that makes sense and if not please correct me if I am wrong.

Airforce Np base options
Thank you for your reply, I believe the AF is known to give most recruits their 1st or second choices. I think they are very good about that so I don't think its dumb at all to pick a specialty based on its mobility. Since my goal is abroad and nursing options for overseas are government/ military. I believe making sure I can work at certain abroad bases whether military or civilian government is key to my life goals. Once again thank you for the reply. Hopefully some officers with more experience can chime in.

Airforce Np base options
Hello I couldn't seem to find my answers through Google and allnurses so I decided to ask in hopes of helping future people as well. I am trying to decide which NP speciality will allow me to live at certain bases. The specialities I am considering are CRNA, Pmhnp and family np. I would really like to do pmhnp. My top 3 base location picks are Japan, Hawaii and Korea. I really want to move to Japan it's my dream. I know FNP is needed in Japan but is Pmhnp? Which specialty will allow me to work at the Tokyo base or Okinawa base, kaden? What specialty is most indemand for these overseas bases? Also I am not total against Army of it will get me my specialty and desired base location.

Hello, i am a mother of 3 and plan to work part time while in my nursing program at my local community college. I am a CCMA now and would love to deeping my understanding of nursing and get some basics down before i start this fall. So this summer i am thinking about joining Nrnsg.com which is $49 monthly for 9 months. Going over 4 core classes pharmacology, pathophysiology, med surg and fundamentals. I just want to get the basic understanding down till i start and get fully in depth. Or i was thinking about joining Audible for $15 monthly and just Getting Vangonotes once a month till fall on the aforementioned subjects. I guess i am asking Which one would you guys recommend? Which would you choose if either? Money is tight but want to get a jump start so i don't get too overwhelmed down the road. Any advice is apprenticed!

Bryant & stratton or ECPI / MCI For RN?
Hello, i need help deciding which of these schools to go to. I am a new CMA(medical assistant) . I was wondering if anyone can tell me about their experiences with the Richmond campus and their schedules for night and day options.I called but only MCI would tell the class schedule m-f 8-4pm and m-th 6-10pm evening with saturday 8-4. Please correct me if i am wrong as i got this info last year. B&s college wanted me to come tour before i got definite details on schedule. I want to know their schedules because i plan to work part time in whichever program i choose. Also if you qualify for pell what was your loan total at the end of the program and did you have to make monthly payments as well? Also i know ECPI credits transfers to vcu for rn-bsn but does B&s college credits transfer as well? Thank you all ahead of time.

The right path
Okay, i have been a lurker on here for some time now and i really would like opinions on getting in nursing. Currently i have a 3.8 gpa and have not take the the Teas v. I live in Virginia and will be applying to Bon secours and srmc next semester after i take another psych and chemistry course. I have to score 65 or better on the Teas v to get into these programs and honestly will need 80-90's because they are very competitive. If i can't get into those i will be taking A&P at my local community college over the summer then applying for the two local community college programs, but that will be for the following spring semester of 2016. That being said i recently found out i am pregnant with a third baby and although i am happy only my husband works and we are struggling something terrible as is. I was thinking that maybe i should skip the fuss and nearly a year extra time and apply to ECPI/MCI. I can complete my degree faster but will have more debt to pay. From there i could work and complete my BSN online through WGU or UTA, then apply for an MSN program with my local universities. I plan to become an PMHNP and I already have a A.S in general studies. I also might get an employer who does tuition reimbursement and might not have to pay back the loans at all. But i do want to get to work asap as we are struggling and he is being patient trying to give me time to go to school and accomplish my dreams. My husband however isn't a fan of ECPI's tuition and i understand completely. I am more worried about them only being regional accredited with my state's BON and not with the ACEN however WGU and UTA are ACEN accredited so i feel like it'll balance out since i plan to pursue my BSN right away. Sorry for the long post... Any advice from nurses and those who graduated from MCI/ECPI would greatly appreciated.
