Hey areo1! So, I contacted Wanda Little about the waiting list and she told me that two people declined their seats, so I went from being #6 to being #4 on the waiting list for the traditional. Since you are number 3, that would make you number 1 on the list for the traditional, but call and confirm because things could change. However, I didn't apply for the ACE, so I have no information on that. Mrs. Little's number should be on the letter that you received.

Update: A couple of people declined their spots in the nursing pool, so my waiting list spot went up. So there's still a chance.

You can just go to the ninth floor and ask. That's what I did or you can wait for the letter to come. They told me that they're still making a decision on some of them, so there's that.

Yeah, but it really all depends. The advisor told me that there are some semesters where they don't accept any from the waitlist. But, trying to stay positive.

Update: I went to the ninth floor to pick up my letter. Unfortunately, I was put on the waiting list for the Spring semester (I'm #6 on the list). Now, my plans are to wait for another semester and apply to other schools.

Honestly, it depends. Based on other threads I've seen, some people don't get their letters until late November! So, it's random; it seems like you just never know, but I'm still crossing my fingers. aero1, try not to fret.

Update: I spoke with the adviser from the nursing department and he said that the number of applicants is in the 140's (he wasn't sure of the exact number), much lower than last year and they'll accept 72 from that pool. We also should expect the letters going out during the 2nd week of November. Good luck everyone!

Well, from what I've seen and read, the application pool is a bit lower for Spring than Fall for Georgia State. I read that last spring (2013) they only had 161 applicants, but only 65 of them got in, which is not too bad. Fall is more competitive and they have more applicants(last they had 225, but 72 got in).
