I also brought the package with books and ebooks. I not taking NUR 195 though. I'm not saying that that class isn't beneficial, it totally is. I made sure that I finished all of my co-reqs before nursing school started so that all I have to do is concentrate on nursing school solely and not have to worry about other classes. I feel that we will get the tools we need to take our exams and the NCLEX with our regular nursing classes. If I had the time and less responsibilities, I would take NUR 195. I haven't gone to get my ID yet, but I probably will get it on Monday. I'm also excited to meet you all and finally actually start learning. It's been a long wait. Oh, has anyone started reading? I received an email with some more info. I'm just going to skim to get a overview of things.

Ok, I was really excited about nursing school starting, but the bookstore really put a damper on things. I went to the bookstore today and my grand total was almost $2,000. I knew that it would cost, but I still was shocked. The person who rung me up was like, "It's all worth it in the end." Which is totally true, but that doesn't make it hurt any less now lol. Well, now I'm so ready to start and get my money's worth.

It would be nice if the price drops and it doesn't make it any easier with it being around the holiday time. I think that I'll just get some sketchers or something as far as the shoes. What type of stethoscope are you getting? I'm getting a littmann. I'm not too happy about the price, but the cheap ones just don't work for me.

Hey Everyone! How's everything coming alone? I'm done with the online background/health process. I just have to buy a few odds and ends now. What type of nursing shoes did you all buy or are going to buy?

Yeah, see you there!!! They said that they will send us an email with more information before orientation, so I'm excited for that also.

At the information session they said an iPad or tablet that's applicable with the books and tools they use. I want to get an iPad mini, but I'll see what they say in orientation.

I can't wait either! I'm so excited. Lol

Has anyone started taking the coreqs? I'm taking my last two this semester. I really don't want to have to think about those classes while I'm in the nursing program or take them in the summer semester.

Congratulations gracejeter!!! I know that that has to feel great. I hope that I will be able to feel great too! I still haven't received any emails or mail. Now that I know that they have sent some acceptance and rejection letters, and I haven't gotten anything, I'm a nervous wreck right now!!! Has anyone else received anything?

So the mail truck just came. I checked the mail, but nothing from John Tyler. Well... Maybe they will send something to the emails. Let me know if you guys get something!!!

I checked my mail and email again and still nothing. I've been pretty patient so far, but I'm about to burst now. The mail truck comes around 1 pm for me and I'll probably be waiting right outside today lol.

If you all don't mind me asking, what did the email say? Did it say that your application was incorrect/incomplete or that all the spots are filled or something?

Did you receive the email today or yesterday?

I keep telling myself that if I don't get in then that it wasn't meant to be and that something better is in store for me. Knp2365 and Morrisonsl I hope this way of thinking helps. Best of Luck!!!!! I haven't received an email either. Now I don't know what to think! lol

I haven't called, but if the information that you received it true, then it is getting pretty close. I'm so anxious and excited to find out if I got in or not. Good luck to everyone!!!

Thanks for the info. I may apply to J. Sargent if I don't get into JTCC nursing program.
