National University San Diego Cohort 66
They probably didn't know that it was backed up. Many ppl were moved from cohort 65 to 66, which made less room for new applicant. honestly I feel like it was something they shouldve disclosed. after spending almost 5k that I don't have on their classes, I am now stuck. It is hard for me to up and move out of state also. definite bummer

Do you need to have a bachelors degree? or is there a way around that as well like Roseman? where is Utica? Your stats are very very good!! and you definitely would have gotten in for an interview and most likely accepted. Just wasn't a fair shot for us this time around with the whole back up, and less spot than usual in this cohort. It was just very unfortunate us. I wish we knew about the back up, and their plan on moving students from one cohort to another. I think cohort 67 will be the same, it'll be a while until it gets back to normal again.

Thank you so much for this info! I was looking into this school as well. 16 months isn't that long to get away. I planned on waiting a year to reapply and let everything work out with NU but that year of waiting, I could just go here. When you say they won't accept core science courses from straighterline is that like ap1 and ap2, Microbiology etc?

West Coast University or RN-BSN
how do you like WCU? I am planning on going as well. what is the average GPA to get in? do you happen to know which pre reqs is needed? I did all my pre reqs for national university to get into the BSN program, but they are so backed up, and are doing some shady stuff right now, and not giving out info that the potential students need to know.

Accelerated BSN: Purdue or Chamberlain?
This is quite interesting to me. Following your post as well.

Who was your advisor? I find that alot of them say whatever you want to hear, and won't tell you straight up that an 86 and above is what you should get to have a good chance. I had to pry it out of my advisor. I constantly asked what grade do I atleast NEED to get to have a good chance and she said 86. I honestly feel like they make so much off the pre reqs but I guess it is business. I worked my butt off, and this happens. It will be backed up for a while since the next group will apply to the next cohort, and so forth. They have ppl in cohort 65 moving into 66 or 67 of there choice which means, it'll take atleasta year or even longer for it to get back to normal, unless they open up another BSN class, and accept double the amount of students... which I don't see why not. haha just mean more money for them.

If it was normal, and the dates werent pushed back, and the normal amount being accepted then absolutely you had a very very high chance! I mean I think you wouldve made it, I cant remember if my friend is in cohort 64 or 65 but she got in with her TEAS at 87, and GPA 3.5. I feel like they shouldve let us know, I wouldnt have wasted my time but business is business, they need ppl to pay for there outrageously expensive classes. the 2 schools that you applied for in utah and nevada, those are both ABSN? I wonder if there are any other schools similar to NU for BSN degree, I cant afford the whole 4 year traditional thing especially with kids etc.

aww bummer! I don't have any previous associates or bachelors degree. All I have are the pre reqs required to get into NU unfortunately. So now, I am totally losing hope ? I put all my eggs in one basket with NU.. I feel like they failed to tell us the truth just so people still take there classes etc.. I spend 1750 for the biostat and 1650 for the ILR 260 class.

I see that you said ABSN, do you have a non nursing degree already? or all the pre reqs we did for national university will qualify us for the ABSN? this is interesting, I may have to do the same. moving away for a year and a half isn't all so bad! haha how many kids do you have? that is nice you plan on taking them too! I may do the same! poor hubby.. he will get a year off from all the craziness LOL! I have 2 boys ages 6 and 3
