The YMCA in Valpo is doing 2 classes, one is for health care professionals it's$85 for non-YMCA members.....November5th. And Lay person CPR AED is November 12, and first aid is the 13th if needed.

Call the Valpo campus and ask for the secretary of nursing, if she doesn't answer ask for Laura/Lauren ( she is the interim dean of Nursing program). She will let you know either way. Scores are calculated APHY101: 30 pts for A Psych 15 pts for A, English 15 pts for A. Teas test is broken down by individual category. Reading: 30% Math: 20% Science: 30% English comp: 20% Pre reqs that are needed by not calculated Iinto score are math 136 or higher.

Nope, I took classes in 2010 under my maiden name, then reapplied in 2013. I assumed my new email would be my married name, but it's still my maiden name. I didn't find that out till i went to forward my ivy tech emails to my main account. I'm hoping tthat's the problem.

Nope, I called Valpo campus, emails will be sent today by 5 for those accepted. Others will not receive letters till end of this week/ next week.

And then the mailman came and went, no goodies in his bag, Ivy tech had not yet sent!

That'sfor the PN program. ASN should be sent out by today. All this anxiety I think I need a drink!

What campuses are still waiting for letters?

I was told this would change as of August 26th, per my guidance counselor at the Valpo campus. I thought I'd ask if anyone else had heard this as well. At least tomorrow should be the big day!!!

VALPO/GARY APPLICANTS I have a question for anyone that may know. I was told that Valpo campus applicants were no longer allowed to apply to the Gary campus, because those applicants were being placed in a "pool" and would be selected to the campus in their county. (So those that live in Porter county would go to Valpo, those that live in Lake county would attend Gary campus). If this is the case, how would this work for those applicants whodo not live in either county? Seems a little unfair to limit where some applicants can apply, due to where they live, but not limit who else can apply and be aaccepted into the same program.

I applied to Valpo, and still haven't heard anything. From previous posts from applicants in May, Valpo will send emails to accepted individuals. I don't know if they'll continue to do so this time around. Suspense is killing me!!

I applied to the Valpo campus for both the ASN and PN programs. My total score was 134/160. Taking psych 12 years ago, and keeping that B, kind of messed up my point values. In speaking with my counselor, he gave me a 50/50 shot of getting into the ASN program. This wait is miserable!! I stalk the mailman on a daily basis, and dream about acceptance/denial letters nightly!! Good luck to everyone applying!
