  1. Hello, I just started in urology, the MD can see 50 patients a day. He's been doing it for 30 years and knows everyone so it's usually quick and quick out. Now here I come, they've hired me and now the head MA who helps him and organizes the rooming of his patients is telling me that I'm probably going to have to start rooming my own patients, because they can't do all of his and mine too. What? This isn't what I signed up for. I need quick advice because I'm losing sleep over this. A new job is hard enough on its own, and I'm also in a new specialty with urology, that I don't want to be having to room my own patients as well, which is WAY down the hall as well. I have no problem helping the team out on occasion, but I don't want to start doing this and then think this is the norm. May I have some advice, please? Thank you, Sherry
  2. Hi All, I am so frustrated...I am a new grad APRN, FNP-C, in HOT Phoenix, Arizona, and I want to move to Colorado to get out of this awful heat. My frustration? I can't get anyone in Colorado to call me back regarding an APRN applications...have applied to many, with ZERO callbacks...Whatever happened to everything they were saying to me in school, that they would be beating down my door to hire me as a new FNP??? Colorado SBN not being helpful either, I have spoken to them several times, bc they say "I must actually move to Colorado and get a Drivers License, and submit bills to them to prove I'm living there, IN ORDER TO GIVE ME A COLORADO APRN LICENSE"...WHAT??!! (They said I could go there and work under my RN until I get licensed, don't want to do that, I just want to get my APRN license) So....I can't get a APRN job in CO without moving there first. BUT, if I move there first and get a rental and take out a lease to get the license, what happens if I find a job in another city? I really love Steamboat Springs... Uggg, Sigh, any others??? LOL...I am so tired of this heat, I want to leave AZ and go to CO, but move there without a job lined up (and I am broke after school)?? I do have an FNP job lined up here in AZ to start in September, but I SO long to go to Colorado to live and work...any advice.....please? Thanks bunches, OBrien-FNP
