  1. Thank you. Things have gone from bad to worse. I did not want to go back but I do not have anything else right now. So I will try to stick it out until I find something unless I just can't take it which I'm kind of there. I really wished clients parents would understand that we would be better nurses for them if we were not caused undue stress.
  2. Oh now it's what drugs are you giving him? How much? (More of an interrogation). Why isnt his feeding bag fuller (well because youve been standing over me ranting for the last 15 minutes). You know he needs this and this and I can get him tested to see if you nurses are giving his meds and simethicone! And That nurse is going to the Pen, the other one stole that and on and on and on. I have a call to the DON. Wow today was rough. Yup I think the unsaid drug accusation was enough for me. I've got nothing to hide but it's quite stressful.
  3. Hi. Thank you for reading. Among other things the clients family member is always accusing the nurses of stealing. He's always saying he is going to call State on this person or that person. Not me yet, but I know it's coming. I found out yesterday he Did call State about one of the nurses for stealing "care" supplies. This is just one issue with his behaviors. Do you consider this a biggie in deciding to stay or not?
  4. Hi all. I am just a little stressed here. I am 2.5 years into my nursing career and for several serious reasons am no longer able to do most bedside nursing. I am trying to do part time but each time I go in I most always reinjure myself and have to take pain meds to get through shift and suffer the consequences afterwards. I am currently signed up for prerequisites for obtaining my RN license but now wondering if I am just obtaining more loans that I won't be able to repay. If there were opportunities then I also have disabilities of both upper extremities which I wouldn't be able to do any Heavy duty typing. I hear there are plenty of opportunities but I am skeptical. Was hoping for insight and suggestions. I appreciate your help and sharing any knowledge. Sorry to sound down, but I'm feeling like my options are quickly diminishing.
  5. Is this crazy? I work nights - 8 during week and 12 on weekends. Now the LTC facility has been having staffing issues - but they have Been having staffing issues for over 5 months. There is me, and 72 patients. Three new NA's - if I'm lucky - there will be an experienced CNA. We also get a list of people up in the morning. Also, there is a BIG morning pass. No, not just a couple of pills, a full med pass - but I "only" do 20. Just curious?
