Bryan, You should still consider applying. I am an A&M grad and just recently applied to there fast track nursing program and got in! I almost didn't apply because I didn't think I would make it but I did. I never hurts too apply. They accept 42 students from the fast track program and half are in college station while the other half are in round rock (outside of austin). I hope this helps a little!

And as for the other people who are on waitlisted, I have even heard that people sometimes put money down to save there spot while waiting to hear from other schools so keep your hopes up! There are many reasons people decline and leave you a perfect little spot :)

Aggie2015, thank you so much for all the input. You definitely helped me feel a little better about the program. Like Lovemykiddos said, there are a few older forums that don't say the best things. Particularly, people have said that the program is very unorganized and it is very apparent that it is new. What are your thoughts?

Okay so both my brother and I went to A&M and apparently before my brother received his acceptance email he went to the A&M website and searched his name in their search bar. It showed up and that was how he knew he was accepted. I think you have to click the "people" option for it to work (if it even works). I know this is random and I don't know if it will work, BUT I know we are all going crazy waiting so you may give it a try haha? I tried and nothing came up so that sucked, I also am curious if it only works if you do it on the Texas A&M site but not the tamuhsc. Lastly, it may just be too early to try! You have to be in the system for it to work which means they have to have admitted you and maybe just not sent everything out yet. I'm sure my brother only saw it a few days before he got his acceptance. Anyways, sorry for rambling and I hope this doesn't make it worse for anyone :)

Stephtap87, I have 2 friends who did the texas state program and they really liked it so if all else fails it is a great backup plan.I understand wanted to do the fast track program though.

Thanks Stephtap87! I finally figured it out, I think I was just so overwhelmed that I hadn't seen the background check message that my brain wouldn't work! I was afraid I was going to pay for the wrong one or something but I figured it out. This is my first time to apply to this program and I also applied to the Baylor fast bacc program. I graduated from A&M in may of 2013 then worked in medical device research/sales for a little under a year after that. I put round rock as my first location but college station is also an option for me. I'm from Lakeway (west austin) though so I would have a place to live if I get into the round rock location! This is so nerve racking, it is driving me crazy! I feel like I haven't heard of anyone who has gotten in!

Hi guys! I have been creeping on this (and many other) forum for a while and finally decided to join! I have also applied for the 2015 2nd degree nursing program and hoping to get in at the round rock location! I was confused a little confused and didn't realize nursingCAS and BAMF weren't connected so I just now realized I need to do my background check and I'M FREAKING OUT a little tiny bit... did I wait too long? Also, I went to the background check website and am even more confused, am I making this more complicated than it should be. I don't know which option to even click. Help
