Hi Monica, Are RN's required to give bath/showers? Is it in the job description at different hospitals that you have to do that? You also mentioned about leaving the floor or unit to do that. Is it also manatory to stay in the unit at all times while you're working, and is there a liability issue with that also? I'm a pre-nursing student and found the things you said interesting....I believe in being a team player and helping out my coworkers but when does it get to a point where you feel as though they are taking advantage of you? kindness for weakness sort of thing?

A lot of schools encourage and welcome male nursing students more. I'm not saying it's right, but it's real. Maybe they try to get more male nurses in the field and they understand the growing numbers of males now trying to be nurses so they take us in the program easier and quicker ahead of females on waiting lists. Ladies us guys don't want to take anything from you, we just want to blend in that's all. :)

Ah come on ladies give us guys a little break. We are out numbered by a very very high percentage of females in nursing school. I don't believe that anyone should get any special treatment but understand that we are all there to learn and help each other. I do believe that no matter what school and class teacher do have their favorites....just help us out a little ladies, we really don't mind

Are there any males attending nursing school in new jersey? If so let me know what school you're attending and what are the requirements of dress there please.

Hi guys, Hope everyone is well. I'm a male also and finishing up my pre-reqs now only 2 more semester to go. What are the uniforms like for males in school? I think a lot of nursing schools require different dress codes but for us guys what do I have to look forward to? The white nurse cap; that's out!! The white stockings; that's out!!!
