considering relocating
Hello all I'm currently live in NJ and have worked as an ER nurse for 6 years but now currently work at a cardiology office. Dh and I have a one year old and are considering trying for another one next year. I've lived in Jersey all my life but its getting to be too expensive. Recently our property taxes went up and I feel like we work just to pay off all bills. When the second child comes along I would love to go part time or be a stay at home mom for a couple of years but I don't see us affording that. HUsband has an opportunity to get a promotion but it would mean relocating to oklahoma. All my family lives here. I know cost of living is cheaper in OK than NJ and I might have a chance to be a stay at home mom. It will be a big change. Was just wondering what is the pay for an RN with my number years of experience.

will i be happy????
Hello everyone I currently work in an ER doing 3, 12 hour shifts 7a-7pm. I have a one year old and like only working 3 days. I at the same time am so fed up with the chaos of the ER and feel like I am getting burned out quickly. I had an interview at a cardiology office, the hours are 8:30am-5pm, no weekends or holidays. I was called back for a second interview and it went well. All signs point to them hiring me. Will I be happy is the big question. Its more time away from my baby but at the same time I don't want to be stressed anymore because I feel like lately i am bringing that stress home. Please help me with any advice on this tough decision.....thanxs

need advice about a job offer
I accepted a full time position at a local hospital. Am going in tomorrow for a physical and to fill out the paperwork. I am having second thoughts because I think I should have went per diem instead. I'm under my husbands benefits so I don't need that. I currently work per diem at another hospital and like the flexibility especially with an 11 month old. Obviously full time rate is much lower than per diem. How do I let them know that I want to go per diem instead of full time when I already accepted the full time offer. Thanxs

Question for experienced travel nurses
I am new to traveling. I signed up with American Mobile and this is only my second assignment with them. I asked my recruiter about completion bonuses which are stated on their website. She told me that in order for me to get the bonuses she would have to decrease my subsidy. I thought that answer was kind of odd. Does this sound right?

Making up a sick day?
So, this is whats going on. I recently resigned from my current position and gave a months notice. My last day is sometime next week. Well yesterday I was scheduled to work but called out because I did not feel well. Now the manager left a message on my voicemail saying that I have to make up that day. To me this sounds crazy. She states that she implemented a policy that if someone resignes and calls out, they have to make up that day. I was NEVER told of this sudden policy. I never recieved it in writing and why wasn't this brought to my attention when I resigned? Also, if you give your months resignation notice and you call out do you not get paid or can you still use the sick days you have? All i have to say is that I am glad I am leaving this place. Nurses get no support whatsoever. :angryfire Please help Frustrated.
