I am currently in my first year of nursing school working on getting my BSN. I know that I want to become a nurse, but I am still trying to decide what area I want to go into. Ob/Gyn is an area of interest, but I would like some input from those who currently do it. I love babies and to care for them would be wonderful but I am afraid I would get too attached and would have emotional difficulty if the baby had something wrong with it. Is this something that you gradually learn to cope with over time?
I am going straight BSN and things are going well so far. My youngest sister got married a few weeks ago and the other younger one is getting married this week. I was/am in both weddings but both have been very understanding as to why I have not been able to do as much as I would like. The rest of the family has been supportive as well. I just hope that after this weekend and the final wedding being over things will even go smoother. Thanks for the advise and I will definitely contact you if any more is needed. :)
I am currently attending Purdue North Central to get my degree in nursing, but I am slightly overwhelmed with everything required to keep up. Any suggestions on ways to balance school, study time, and family???
