  1. Nothing at all. Shoes are one of the things I still need to get.
  2. The checklist they sent recommended NSO so that's the one I went with.
  3. Anyone hear anything about the SNA meeting and the weekend snowstorm? Was really looking forward to this event.
  4. No book either. Not sure if I can work without an actual textbook. I found the textbook on Amazon used for $50.
  5. My head was spinning after I left the bookstore and they didn't even have the skill package when I went. I can't believe our books are that expensive and it's not even an actual textbook. I pray books are not that expensive every 8 weeks.
  6. They add you to the organization on Blackboard and the handbook is located in there. Through first glance I saw no mention of clinical uniform except the uniform in the bookstore, but nothing about shoes. I was going to go to the local uniform shop and see if they can point me in the right direction.
  7. I finished all of my stuff a few weeks ago. I guess this is the one thing being in the military was good for, I already had all my vaccines done. It's a huge relief to be done and submitted, especially going into finals.
  8. Wednesday December 7th from 9am to 1230pm in the Student Center Multipurpose Room in Business attire.
  9. My tuition assistance only covers the base tuition for 12 credit hours per year (no technology fees, student activity fees, etc) so everything else is out my own pocket.
  10. I've seen alternates get seats into the program because people won't be able to get cleared for whatever reason or choose to attend a different program.
  11. I'm in VA Beach 23462. Kinda shocked it got here so quickly.
  12. Yes I am except I have to bring myself back to reality real quick for my A&P2 Lab Midterm tonight. í ½í¸¬ After that we are celebrating! Praying everyone else gets their letters soon!!!!! í ½í¹í ¼í¿»
  13. I just got my letter and I'm still in complete shock that I got in!!!!!! Nights and Weekends cohort!
  14. I just applied for a hopeful Spring 2017 start at TCC for nights and weekends. I ended up doing Bio150 in the Spring and Bio141 in the summer and applied without Bio142 which I'm taking this Fall. I got a B in both so we will see what happens.
  15. Thank you! You too. I'm on my way to turn mine in now. These 2 months are going to kill me!!!
  16. Thank you! Good luck to you too. Fingers crossed we will be classmates soon. I need nights and weekends because I'm still on active duty. I can't imagine having to wait a whole year to apply again.
  17. Just finished my HESI and got an 84%. Turning in my application in the next few days with B in A&P1 and Micro (no retakes) and A in everything else. I'm still missing A&P2 but fingers crossed it doesn't hurt my chances since I need the nights and weekends schedule that only classes up in the spring.
  18. Awesome! Good luck to you too. I'm doing the night class with Bawcom at VB campus and right now have a solid B after the midterm. Hoping I can do a little bit better during the 2nd half to bump it up to an A. I plan to take the Hesi right after finals since applications are not due until August 15th.
  19. Its nice to see this thread has already been started. I'm looking to apply for Spring 2017 Nights/Weekends since I'm active duty. I'm currently enrolled in A&P1 and have completed all of my required classes with the exception of A&P2. I haven't taken my HESI yet; kinda waiting until the last minute. I have all A's and 2 B's (one of them being from Micro). Fingers crossed I get accepted, but I'm super nervous!
  20. The original plan was to take Micro in the spring with A&P1, but I think now I'm just going to take Micro this spring, take A&P1 during the summer, and A&P2 during the fall. The classes I failed were not science courses it was Eng Comp 1, US History 1, and I got a D in Music Appreciation but like I stated earlier I have retaken all of theses courses since returning back and got A's across the board. I have not taken my HESI yet because as they stated at the info session it is best to wait until closer to the time you put in the application so you have the most science knowledge and get the best grade possible, plus you can only take it once per year.
  21. Thank you for that info! Yeah thinking about it if I'm already having hesitations then I need to follow my gut instinct. I think I'm going to take BIO150 this spring and then do BIO141 this summer. I would rather get 2 A's and be missing 1 science course then get 3 B's or worse by taking on too much! Plus it will give me time to study for the HESI.
  22. I'll be honest most of this anxiety came up right after the information session I attended. I'm worried that I'm going to be penalized for 2 horribly failed semesters that put me on academic probation back in 2012 even though it is obvious I took 2 years off in-between and have received nothing but A's since I returned and I even re-took all my failed or D courses. I'm even part of PTK Honor Society now due to my grades.
  23. I have been slowly truckin' away at my pre-requisite course work for the past 2 years while I have been active duty in the Navy. I have successfully completed every course required for my ADN with TCC and the BSN program with ODU with the exception of my science courses (because of the lab requirement). Recently, (right after I went to the nursing information session) I starting to get really nervous about spring semester and contemplating only doing one science course instead of 2 like I previously planned. By the start of the spring semester I will be on transfer leave/starting at my new shore duty command. I had always planned on taking BIO150 and BIO141 together because I want to apply for the Spring 2017 nights and weekends program and have always felt that for the best (really any) chances I had to have all of my science courses completed prior to applying. Due to my hesitation I think I'm going to just focus on BIO150 for the spring 2016 semester and take BIO141 for summer 2016 semester which means I will be missing BIO142 when my application gets reviewed. At this time I have an A is all of my other course work except for PSY201 where I got a B. Will not having BIO142 at the time of applying hurt me enough to not get accepted or will my application still be competitive? Has anyone else gotten accepted when they were missing BIO142? Or should I just silence my fears and buckle down and do what I need to do the guarantee I get in on the first try? Oh and if it helps besides working in the Navy and volunteering with Hospice a few hours a week I have no life. It's just me and my dog Bentley; no husband, boyfriend, or kids vying for my time.
