TCC Nursing Pre-Reqs
At the program I am going for the only four main prequisites you need are as Wildearth said. A&P 1 + 2, ENC1101, and General PSY. The rest that are needed for academics for graduation are ENC1102, Human Dev, MAC1105, Microbiology, and a humanities class.

How likely is it?
To be a nurse extern or tech do I have to have a CNA certification?
-
How likely is it?
I was thinking about getting a job as a CNA while in school going towards my RN license... How likely would it be that I would get put in to the ER, OR, or ICU as a CNA if requested?(for experience/work while in school for RN) because I will be able to work around my schedule for classes.

CNA vs. PCT (ER)
What are your responsibilities in the ER?

CNA vs. PCT (ER)
I'm currently doing PT college (towards an RN) but in the time being, I would like to become either a CNA or PCT to gain some experience in the field, lets be honest i'm not a fan of the home health/retirement home settings(personal choice) As a CNA or PCT, can you be put in the Operating room, ER, or even a psych unit?

What's the best electronic device for Nursing School?
I'd say ask the staff about the programs, I have classes with people that have Ipads that can't run certain programs as well as load some internet site because of the plugins.

Am I making the right choice?
Thanks for your reply, They made it seem like it was a bad thing that I had no medical experience and I wasn't sure what to think about it. Your response was great.

Am I making the right choice?
I just started my first semester getting my prerequisites out of the way to be accepted in to their A.S. Nursing program(ADN) at SCF. In a few of my classes I have talked to some of the students that are also a CNA or LVN pursuing to become an RN. They usually ask why I didn't become a CNA/LVN prior to starting my classes to become an RN. Did I make the wrong choice? I know the CNA program at MTI is about $1.5k and passes fairly quickly, but does it make a huge difference whether I go straight from CNA -> RN instead of non-med -> RN? When I finish the A.S. degree I will also be taking the RN-BSN classes part time.
