Motherhood and Being a New Nurse
Thanks for the feedback! It sucks waiting! But it's probably the best choice. I hope you get a job! [emoji4]

Motherhood and Being a New Nurse
My husband and I are possibly wanting to start a family as well. I have one semester left (I graduate December of this year). Was it hard to be pregnant your last semester/ did you have a practicum and was it tough being on your feet? I'm sure it will depend on where you want to work, if it will be easier/harder to find a job. You can always learn skills, especially if you find a job with a good orientation! I seriously doubt it will hurt your chances of getting hired..especially if it's only been 6 months or so. Some people where new nurses aren't getting hired I'm sure don't find jobs until about 4 months after graduating. This is all just my opinion though! I hope it all works out for you :)

FNP
Ok fellow nurses I need advice! I am currently in the WSU nursing program in WA state and thinking about post grad. I would like to get my FNP degree but am unsure what kind of education/work experience I will need to be successful as a FNP. I am interested in working as a practitioner at a local clinic to serve community members and not so much into working at a hospital. Would I still be successful as a FNP if my first job was not in the hospital after nursing school?? I am thinking of working at an eye surgery center after graduation. Thanks in advance!

Funny things patients say !
Today while passing pills I overheard one of my residents ask another res, "so if you could smoke anything right now what would it be?" I tried very hard not to laugh, so hilarious!!

Nursing student lacking passion?
This is fabulous. I am a CNA now and have been trying to get into nursing school for 4 years. Its exhausting being rejected from nursing schools and my job isn't any easier either! I know being a nurse won't ever be a walk in the park and will always be hard on your body (physically and emotionally), but I have recently been questioning why I want to be a nurse and wondering where my passion for it is. But after hearing of many of you who are successful nurses and still struggle with passion is inspiring to me! I'm hoping to get into nursing school in January! Thanks guys!
