  1. Praying for the family and friends of the students. Do not forget that God is always with you 🌅
  2. Hey, I'm embarrassed to say, but my teas was bad, 65. I made a 70 at Gordon, but of course we had to retake them since it was an application to a different program. Gpa 2.75, core gpa 3.0, and when you're accepted into the program, you take a critical thinking test and mine was a 72.5, but that doesn't mean much since it's not a factor. I did not have strong scores, but I do have a lot of credit hours(one core class away from having my bsn core done) and I have my CNA certification. Hope this helps! Also, I believe they accepted 70 for the ASN program. However, there were only about 20-25 asn people at orientation so idk!!! Accepting only 20-25 people sounds ridiculous, maybe they had multiple orientations, but that sounds ridiculous, too. So idk. I think what helped me was having my CNA and a lot of credit hours coming from science classes, which I made a's and b's in. Good Luck!
  3. Also, no I haven't been pulled from the wait list. Sorry, I didn't answer that clearly lol good luck with school!! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
  4. Hey MackKay, i actually applied last minute for Middle Georgia State's ASN program and was accepted for their Spring 2015 program on the Cochran campus, so I will start with them next month:). But if it were that I didnt, then I would have applied again for Gordon. Gordon is hard to get into because of the amount of seats available not being many. This was my second time applying for Gordon, and as you saw I was still wait listed. I was accepted for MGSC with a very low TEAS score but a lot of credit hours plus my CNA. If there's anything that I can tell you that could help, it would be apply to multiple schools! And if this is seriously what you want to do, do not give up:) it took a while for me, but it was so worth it getting accepted!
  5. Just to let yall know, my Teas was not good, a 66 (I've done better on others in the past) and my current gpa is 2.9, core gpa is 3.0. And I have a total of 54 semester hours(I've been in school for 2 1/2 years including summers.
  6. Hey y'all!! I got my acceptance letter today:) be on the look out!
  7. And if yall don't mind, post when yall get a letter. Our mail man is new to our neighborhood and I'm praying he doesn't get the letter mixed up with any other mail, like he has been doing with ours lately. Thx!
  8. zh002, I applied for asn spring 2015. Have you? Or anyone else out there? :)
  9. Hey, I did a little research on the Internet, and with other blogs it seems like the letters for spring semesters usually go out the first 2-3 weeks of November.
  10. Hello! I applied as well, but I'm not sure when the letters go out.. Do you know if we take a critical thinking test? I had to at the school that I am at now.
  11. Awesome! I am very excited for you:) good luck! And if I get called back, then I might see you there!
  12. Thanks guys!! My friend who's scores were almost exactly like mine, her gpa was I thk two pts higher than mine, got accepted and said the letter said to reserve seats by October 24, so hopefully I'll hear somethg after that. If not, I'll apply again to Gordon and middle ga. :)
  13. I got put on the waiting list :/ Good Luck Y'all!!!:)
  14. Yes, I'm on my third year there now. I like Gordon, definitely the place for me. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not, but they do look at how long you've been at Gordon, how many core classes you've taken with Gordon, etc. After this semester, I'll be one class away from my associates in psychology. I'm almost done with my Bach core for nursing. Hopefully it will help my chances.. Are you applying to the asn or bsn program?
  15. I meant core gpa which was 3.0. Either typo or I was being repetitive, sorry.
  16. When I went to the lady to give my application, she checked to make sure that I had the right core classes and a good gpa, and what she exactly said to me was "looks like your gpa is well over the minimum" but she wasn't looking at my current 2.9 gpa, she was looking at my current gpa which was 3.0. She never looked on the computer for my current gpa
  17. Well, it's October everyone!! Letters will be here soon! I have a quick question, does anyone know if your MAJOR ON BANNER WEB changes once you're accepted? If so, what to? Right now it says nursing (asn intended). If anyone gets their letter, a post wld be very appreciated. Thanks!!
  18. Does anyone know how many people applied this time?
  19. Awesome gpa!!!!! And ct score!! I'm sure you will get in, but I will be sure to pray:) yes, a lot of people applied, but not many passed the ctt... I tlkd to a few girls at the testing area, quite a few, about four or five, but out of all of them, only me and one other passed. And a girl who was in my cna class who also is applying said practically everyone in her group failed. She took it the day before me.
  20. That is an awesome gpa, and the ctt is important so doing good on that helps a lot. They really like it if you've taken a lot of your core with them and if you finished your sciences, but your scores are awesome so I think you're ok. I'm sure you'll make it in!:)
  21. Yea, this one was the same exact one as last year. I talked to four girls after the test and only one passed out of the four of them. I think this test makes it more difficult to get in since this is a harder test than the teas and with the teas taken away, that hurts a lot of people's chances.
  22. I did last Thursday, and I barely passed with the 70.0..! But I thk having my cna and bls will help.
  23. Good luck!! It made me nervous when they raised the minimum score for the critical thinking to a 70, since last year I made a 68, but I barely did it. 70.0! Don't over think it and you'll do great!!
  24. Hello, I just applied to the Gordon State College ASN program last month, but I do not many others who have applied. I'm super nervous with this being my second time applying. I would like to stay up to date with others who are applying, so if anyone is out there looking for someone to talk to through this process, please respond! I'd like to know yall's stats. I know a lot of people like to ask what my stats were when i wasnt accepted last year, so they are as follows... gpa: 3.0 critical thinking: 68 teas (no longer need): 67.8 I'll post my current ones once someone replies, plus I'd like to know yall's. thx!!
