  1. It looks like this forum is designated for Filipino nurses only, I know we are living in a fast evolving world-full of twist and dynamism. I hate when people use a nursing profession as a trampoline that can bring them to a greener pasture. Out of curiosity, don't you guys have nursing positions available in Philippines???
  2. Hi, I had a USA BScN degree and 8 years of PACU experience when I submitted my RN registration application to the CNO. I received an evaluation paper after 16 month of "waiting period" stating that my USA BScN is not equivalent with Canadian BScN. I had to go through 2year full-time bridging program at one of the universities here in Toronto. This was my personal experience. Good luck with the CNO! Be patient as the CNO case evaluators are very rude and absolutely non-professionals. I've never seen such a sloppy organization in my life....
  3. Hi. I got three hospital interviews in the GTA, super excited about to start my orientation. Thanks for all your support!
  4. Try going to nursing agencies, get some Canadian nursing experience in either hospital or LTC. Do some volunteering in LTC. It shouldn't be an issue for Philipino nurses to be hired as there are always somebody from Philippines working inside. Hope it helps.
  5. Thanks for responses..it's really helpful.
  6. Hi, I am a new grad RN in Toronto and I am willing to relocate to Alberta as getting RN jobs in hospitals in Toronto is almost impossible. I have a perioperative RPN certificate and more than 2 years of RPN experience in Toronto. I know that I need to transfer my RN licence to Alberta. I was told that many rural communities in Alberta need RNs. Is that true? How long does it take to get a full-time RN position in Alberta? Unfortunately, I have never been to Alberta and I am really interested in exploring a new province as a RN. Any suggestions/heads-ups appreciated. Thank you,
