  1. Turns out I answered my own question... (that is what happens when I try to multitask) The program is nationally accredited... The Doctor of Nursing Practice, the Master of Science in Nursing program and the post-master’s certificates, including the nurse-midwifery, family nurse practitioner, and women’s health care nurse practitioner tracks, are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) Well yay!! I am definitely going to consider this program :)
  2. I am researching Online FNP programs as I want to apply for Fall 2015. I have read lots of great things about FNU and even noticed that their master of science in nursing (MSN) program ranks in the 2014 Top 50 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs by US News & World Report. My only concern is with their accreditation. I noticed they are not nationally accredited (no CCNE)... Frontier Nursing University (FNU) is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award masters degrees and doctoral degrees... My wuestions is will this be an issue for jobs in the future? With my husbands career we move somewhat frequently and do not know when/where we will finally settle down. I would hate to spend the money and time in school not to be able to use my education if we end up in a state other than where the school is. Thanks in advance for you thoughts on the subject!
