I think it's unbelievable, too. But 500 hundreds are not just in one class, it's the total number of students in this program. 2 graduated on time doesn't mean the others didn't graduated, they just delayed the time for graduating! Anyway, I still think 2 is unbelievable!!

Yesterday, one of my friend told me that his wife went to Seneca to learn Practical nursing. There were 500 students registered in Practical Nursing, but only 2 of them graduated on time? Isn't shocking, is that true?

Hi guys, I just registered allnurses, I read many questions and answers here, I think its really helpful. I am really confused now and really need an urgent help! I wanna make myself really clear, so the question may be a little long. Please pardon me and a million thanks for your time and help. OK, so here is my question: I am an international student from China. I was major in English in university and I have graduated two years ago. I came here in Canada last December. I want to be a nurse here, really want! So I applied the Practical nursing in GB, Seneca, Humber and Centennial. GB and Seneca didn't give my any chance since I don't have any background in biology and chemistry. Now I got two offers from Centennial and Humber college. I thought they are good equally. But here is the problem. Since Humber required an entry examination for bio, che, math and English, I didn't pass on bio subject, they required me to have the pre-health course for one year before officially go the practical nursing program at the very beginning. Just like Centennial. Centennial also required test on English and Math, for these exams I passed, too,with a high scores. But they require to have the one pre-health course anyway. BUUUUUT, few days ago, Humber offered a re-testing chance for me on bio, and I was luckily pass the re-test, which means I can go to Practical Nursing program directly instead of 1 year Pre-health course. Now, I don't know which college to choose. My biggest concern is that I don't have solid fundamental knowledge about bio and che, if I take the nursing course directly, can I pass the course smoothly? Besides, I am 26 years old, I really want to shorten the time in college. 1 year makes big difference. My long-term goal is become an NP and I want to go to University of Toronto someday in the future, so if I take the pre-health course to lay a solid amendment in bio and che, will that be helpful for my goal? And which school is better? or they are good equally?
