  7. Hi All, I, too, have applied to the UNC ABSN program for 2015. I think it's safe to say I'm the oldest applicant on this thread. I graduated from UNC in 1997 with a BS in biology, then went on to get a masters in microbiology at Clemson, graduating in 2001. For the past 13 years I have worked in research (immunology, cancer cell biology) and am now looking to begin a new career in nursing, specifically oncology nursing. Since it had been so long since I'd been in school I had to take all of the science pre-reqs and just finished those this summer. I am SO nervous about getting in. I have the science background but a little worried that I don't have enough consistent volunteer work. The wait is going to kill me! Glad to have you all to wait with :)
